I literally just bet zelda tp but now that i have time to think about it the ending was good don't get me wrong but it wasn't great. I don't know if the battle was easy or the way ganon died but i felt somthing was missing, any1 else feel the same wayBeefcake5000well, it was pretty much par for the course, what was missing was the difficulty of the enemies
The whole game was very easy. Seriously, compare TP to AoL--or even ALttP--and you'll see how much easier games have become in recent years.littlefugueword

i just thought the omission of Ganandorf until the very end was lame. it was like they only added him in the final boss fight simply because every Zelda game has Link fight Ganandorf in the end.

btw... how do people do that one "spoiler warning" thing in their post... where the actual spoiler is hidden unless you click on the link?

Well, Link to the Past did the same thing... No Ganon till the end. Just replace Zant with Agahnim.
Well this zelda wasnt the best and in a day and age where we strive for innovation and originality the zelda series is looking a little bland. people want something new. Tp just seemed like it mixed properties (such as parts of story, dungeons, weapons) from passed games. thats why i liked WW so much. it was so new and fun. it broke away from the norm but still felt true to the series. Dont get me wrong TP is a masterpiece but it just seems like a rehash.
I think what you were missing was the sense of clarity or a cliffhanger. TP is so fanservicy that it doesnt lend it self to the plotline at all. its just another zelda. Ganon dies and link goes and..... and does watever he does in the meantime. nothing advances the plot. although i do like how ganandorf had no tricks in the end it was just a straight up battle. reminded me of Ninja Gaiden. (well kinda). if the zelda series wants to survive in this day and age they need to think up something new and different. cuz finding the mastersword killing gannon save the princess is getting so played out by now. games like mario can do this and remain the same. but from a game that is action/adventure RPG it has a really s***** story. people want at least a new villain or a new dungeon or something. thats why MM and WW were so great. they strayed from the norm. some people didnt like this but ultimatelly it gave the series more diversity. and now looking back on when i was little hating MM i feel ashamed. it was a good game i just didnt give it a chance because it wasnt identical to Oot. well thats my thoughts.
If you think about it...
SPOILER
...the game's plot literally stops after you complete Arbiter's Grounds. You just suddenly have to find these three pieces of the mirror from three dungeons, but there's no plot progression there.
And then I really felt that Zant's image as a villain was truly ruined when he started acting like a clown.
And Ganon's role really didn't seem large enough in the game, nor Zelda's at that. I mean, the time during those three dungeons could have been used to flesh out the plot a lot more.
END SPOILER
The forest, water, fire temple was far too generic the only temple I like was sky temple and argarok was the only dungeon boss I liked. The final battle was a let down. I think voiceovers( and orechestrated music)Â would really have been great. The art style I thought I was good but theresomething I thought just didn't feel "zelda" to me...maybe it was Link's hair or something.
Add to that, the fact that the story is really craptastic, its never explained where Zelda goes when she dissappears and heals midna NOR is it explained how the hell she wound up in Ganon's Clutches. Overall the game is just meh and could have tried a little harder, Where's the threat? Where's the concerned Citizens? Where's teh story? Where's the actual "outside of Dungeon" gameplay? Its almost like TP is just a series of loosely connected obstacle courses. WW at least had substantial filler between dungeons. If you think about it...

hahahaha. Ownage approved. You might want to add a spoiler warning to the title of the thread since your post has a huge spoiler in it without any warning at all.angelfly
Ganon was announced in the game at E3 2005. If someone didn't know about him by now, they aren't a Zelda fan.

:lol: OWNED!!!! By the way, I like the game, and the ending, but it was too damn easy, the only "hard" battle was the last one against Ganon, but it was easy too, I hate that. I want something like metroid prime, try playing the game at the higher difficult settings.Ive played thousands of games over the last 15 years and even put 10,000 hours in to an MMORPG (FFXI) and found it hard to make the move back to console gaming and i thought Twilight Princess had absolutely everything. I loved it start to finish, then start to finish with 3 hearts, hunting down every heart, bug, and poe without any help was brilliant. The story and the ending was top draw. The horse combat ive never played any where, some of the weapons are completly unique and fun to just mess around with for ages killing anything you can. A lot of game play here can't be found any where else, and Cave of Ordeals with 3 hearts is damn damn HARD. I think there's a few hours at least left in fishing for me. It's a slight shame there isn't an arena or something where you can fight the main bosses all over again but i like fighting the last boss and i guess to fight all the others ill just complete it again in a few weeks.magrappy
I completely agree. I don't understand some of these people. I have been gaming since the late eighties and this is the best Zelda game ever made. People complain about the difficulty of the enemies, but the enemies in Zelda have always been meant to be fun to fight, not frustrating. The true enemy has always been the dungeons themselves, and they were truly difficult if you werent using a guide. People also don't realize that this game has a difficulty setting just like any other. Just don't collect the hearts. What a bunch of rookies.....I swear.
IMO, yes there are things missing to make this the best of zeldas.
I made comparisons with the other great Zelda games. This is still a great Zelda but to me its Wind Waker that holds the throne as greatest Zelda and it even had flaws.

I've got similar Credentials. Beat Chrono Trigger several times earning 5 endings, beat WW 3 times, all of them using 3 hearts, Beat Ocarina, Link to the Past and MM over a half dozen times each, logged 200 hours in Oblivion, 250 in Morrowind, have beat KOTORs 1-2 and NWN 2 and all the Seiken Densetsu titles as well as Okami and Shadow of the Colossus.Â
TP just falls flat in the entertainment department for me. The horse combat isn't very smooth, It suffers from MAJOR pacing problems and its story is a rehash of LTTP but as though they removed all sense of urgency from the game. Dungeons are packed too close together in terms of playing straight through, there's little exposition between em (dungeons), Bosses are simple and unimpressive, ooh a spider, ooh a dragon.
Compare This with this.
Shadow of the Colossus is hands down the winner in terms of impressiveness, scope and scale. And you can't tell me TP's horse combat is better than the ability to hang off the saddle, stand up, and leap off your steed.
TP had no moments of pure wow, like WW, MM, and Ocarina all did.
