I love Square Enix! They have brought some of my most fave series like Kingdom Hearts, Final Fantasy, and Dragon Quest. Recently there have been several remakes of Square games. Do you think that after Dragon Quest and FF have been fully ported to the DS another series will be? Which one?

I like Square Enix fairly well. Ive gotten some memorable game experiences from them. Heck, One of my favorite hanheld games ever, TWEWY, was made by them.

However, I liked Squaresoft better.

It's kinda sad to see all great titles coming for the Nintendo DS. As a PSP owner , i'm kinda pissed and jealous. But heck , i'm saving up for a DS along with Final Fantasy IV.danny5329

I love mostly Square, truth be told, I (Raises Flame Shield) dislike Dragon Quest, I simply can't get over not seeing my character(Dumb? perhaps, but it's a quirk of mine....Even their backs, pokemon ****, without animation would suffice).(When I said mostly Square, I meant that "part", not Enix :P, whose only game I remember enjoying was Valkyrie Profile)

I love parts of Square Enix:

I love the part that makes original games, and made The World Ends With You.

I love the part took risks in the PS1 era and made interesting games.

I love the part that localizes remakes of previously unreleased games.

I do not love the part that makes FF7 and milks the hell out of it.

I do not love their refusal to release international or improved versions of their games.

And I really do not love Tetsya Nomura's character designs. The man is insane, to put it politely.

Never liked Square Enix honestly. I hate FF game, and dont like TWENTY.

Im not trying to be a "Hater" or anything, but I never liked their RPGs.

I love the Sqaure Enix that makes great games like Sword of Mana, Star Ocean and Mainseries Final Fantasys.

I also love the Square Enix that takes risks and makes new series/games like Radiata Stories, Kingdom Hearts, TWEWY, and The Last Remnant.

I also love the Sqaure Enix that makes WELL DESERVED AND/OR ANTICIPATED remakes like Valkarie Profile Lenneth, Sword of Mana, Final Fanatsy Tactics: WOTL, Star Ocean 1 and 2 and Dragon Quest V and VI (Thank you SE :D )

I dont love the Square Enix that remakes the crap out of older Final Fantasys instead of working on more original games.

I hate the Square Enix that puts FFVII (One of my least Fav FFs) on a pedastal and makes many spinoffs based on it.

Final Fantasy Tactics Advance 2, coming out in a month or so.

Square Enix is pretty cool, though I've been disappointed before. Mario Hoops 3v3 wasn't up to par with other Mario sports games imo, and I hated the character designs in FF III, but apart from that some of the greatest titles I've ever played have been made by Square.

The only thing I disliked about that kid from FFTA2 is his sword.

TWEWY had plenty, umm, unique designs. It was really influenced by todays hip new fads of clothing and music, I mean, what do you think us kid's are wearing nowadays?

One complaint for Squeenix and all other DS game makers is the characters, I would like to see more games where I don't have to be a little 12 year old.

Who thinks Kingdom Hearts will continue to be the next big thing? I mean, like continuing on and on and onnnn... Like FF. Starts off really good, but after about the 6th or so game it starts to fall.

Well, I think some of the better FF games came along later down the line than 6. 7, 8, 10, and 12 were my favs of the series. Particularly 8.

But yeah, It is looking like KH is going to walk this road. What a shame.

Totally agree with you there, that game is extremely overrated.

Theyr'e going too far with the remakes when they should be focusing on new games instead.

I will purchase the Dragon Quest games because I've never played them.

Final Fantasy IV will depend on how much content they add. If it's mostly just a graphical update then I'll pass.

They only milk FF7 as a result of everyone still talking about it and asking for more of it. If you ran a company and the consumers asked for more of a specific type of product from you, wouldn't you make it and enjoy the profit?

That is so stupid. kingdom Hearts was made to have a sequel. The story didnt end with the first one, and you cant just quite in the middle of a game, because thats what it is, Kingdom Hearts is the first half, and Kingdom Hearts 2 is the second half. The game was so good that Square wanted to continue it, but the main story was pretty much closed, which is why KH3 is set so far into the future, and it probably wont have much connection to the first two games story wise. Not much, but the story of Sora is kind of like a legend in KH3, and the characters dont even know if Soras legend really ever happened, but it will be mentioned in the 3rd game.

I think KH3 will be excellent, but too bad I dont have a PS3, yet. I'm really looking forward to KH 356/2 Days.

man xenogears and vagrant story are two of the best games ever... probably in the top 5 from square enix titles, sad they aren't doing anything with them.

i love the square enix that took chances with games like secret of mana, chrono trigger, star ocean, vagrant story, xenogears, and ff12

i hate the square enix that keep rereleasing crappy out of date final fantasy games for every system and sells them at full price

I wonder how well Front Misson DS did when it got released...., Romancing SaGa series would be nice...but i rather have original games over ports or remakes.FLCL_neku

The first Front Mission for the DS was pretty good, and a second one is comming soon. I hope the second has several improvments from the first though.

Romancing Saga had some pretty good concepts, the only thing that I didnt like is the fact that there is no story to keep you playing. I really found no reason to play this game without a story.

I love his character design. It's so quirky and over-the-top.

I liked Squaresoft.

I liked Enix.

But since the merger...I've enjoyed nothing produced by them. Obviously many people feel thesame way considering the article I just read here on gamespot that talks about Square Enix's 2007 profits being WAAYYYYYY down.

I am looking forward to Dragon Warrior 4, 5, and 6 and Final Fantasy 4 on the DS though. A little taste of the quality the two companies provided better seperately.

I agree, Tetsuya's designs are excellent and in WEWY it fit perfectly. I love Square and IMO make some of the best games in my eyes. (KH, Some FF, and TWEWY)

I love SE. Or maybe LOVED?

I love DQ, FF and so many games.....but now SE doesn't usually make cool games...
