Which type do u think is the better option. I want Wiimote+Nunchuck, but without any motion control. I did the coulting, and there are enough buttons on the wiimote and nunchuck. The best would be to have options to use both. FireEmblem24
Judging by the fact that every 1/60 of a second matters in Smash Bros Melee, stick with a GC controller. It is going to be so hard to rely on motion sensing controls.Â
Anyone who plays smash bros as religiously as I do... or anywhere close to that, would agree that the gamecube/classic controller is the only way to go.
The Wiimote wouldn't respond fast enough with motion sensing, and even if it only used buttons then it would just be uncomfortable in comparision to the gamecube/classic controller.
Whats the point of making SSBB for the Wii if we are using a last gen controller to play it on? Might as well make the game on GC if you are going to use GC controllers.lite_ds
a lot of ds games only use the regular buttons and not the touch screen
according to your logic they should have made all of those games for the gameboy advance instead

I totally agree with you, but, the developers said that the gameplay in SSBB is going to slow down a bit from SSBM, which might be the excuse they could use to justify giving players the option btwn both the GC and Classic controllers or the wiimote and nunchuk.
I'm happily content with both Gamecube/Classic controller and wiimote + nunchuck compatability, as the long as the action remains the same as melee (which by the looks of things is).
But if I had to choose, then GC controller by far. Putting in wii controls with or without motion sensing not only puts the controller to bad use, but it goes directly against Nintendo's philosphy.

you know they've only slowed down aerial combat? And that's not for the benefit of the controller, but to pull of aerial combos. You can see this when Kirbly pulls a 3-hit kick combo in the air in the 2nd trailer. Ground combat may be slowed down by a fraction, but only by a fraction - super smash bros is notorious for its speed and quick-reflex actions.
Uhm, i know a lot of people are really hoping for the GC or Classic controller... but aren't they just that? GameCube controllers for GameCube games.... and Classic Controllers for VC Games?

I dont think they ever mentioned that they would use Classic controllers as a controller for Wii games, let alone the GC controller...Â
