Remember when SSBB was like all big? Have you noticed how nobody talkes about it anymore?

That's because they have moved to private boards to get more in-depth discussion on gameplay, I'm one of them. As a result, you'll only get questions like what's your fav character etc here. I'm still a heavy Brawl player and they are still hosting tournaments here and there.Jerell_rast
Has the online mode improved at all? As in, wanting just a random match online instead of friend codes (of which I have none, since this is a small country and we can just visit each other if we wanted to play, thereby getting more options and more fun) as well as tournaments or just some good competitive fun?

Absolutely not. I gave up with the online mode. I find it more challenging to meet my opponents face to face, lol.I have no friends with a Wii, so when I went to play Brawl online I found it was broken and I had to wait for a eternity to get a game. So I gave up after 3 games and sold it a week later. I wanted to keep it but there was no point playing on my own. So I moved on. Nintendo made a big song and dance about this game and couldn't even deliver solid online play. I feel kinda robbed
You must not be around very much huh? Haven't you noticed the constant bombarding reworded threads such as"Who's your favorite character in SSBB", "Your favorite SSBB Character", "Who do you like to use in SSBB", "Your favorite character in Brawl is" etc? Brawl is nowhere near dead. It's almost 3 different threads a day on the same topic of "who's your favorite person to play as in SSBB". Yet, Nobody get's Modded? (Figure that one out). Brawl has lessened, I do agree with you there but in no way has it died. Melee is a more complete game items wise but Brawl is still a waaayyyy better game gameplay wise in my opinion.

After over a year later, not being able to fix one game which we will play for 10 years before another one is released kind of screams that they like, don't care about gamers no?
Then again, maybe there's no such thing as patches for the Wii like there are for the PC and supposedly ps3 games... I understand if that's the case. Maybe Nintendo should have delayed the game even longer. I know I'd have waited after seeing their package of which many flaws are present (it's the little things that detract from the overall experience)
Well what can you do...
If the online component worked, the replayability would be so much better. Unfortunately, most of us just collected a good amount of trophies, and other games like Mario Kart Wii, MadWorld, Punch-Out, and The Conduit took our attention away from SSBB.
It's great to have a lot of good games on the Wii competing for our time though. I enjoy the variety.
thats funny you say that because one of my friends at work just got a wii, so ssbb is all we have been talking about lately.
lol thats like saying why aren't people still talking about Ocarina of Time. Simply put time will do that to any game, people aren't going to keep talking about a game that is almost 2 years old like it came out a week ago. Even if the online worked people aren't going to talk about it after awhile, like Mario Kart's online is phenomenal and people stopped talking about it eventually. Hell people don't even talk about SFIV anymore and that just came out this year.
i guess, but it's not so popular in the real world anymore. like people used to talk about it at school, and at my work, and my freinds would ask to play. now its kinda a forgotton gameReynaldo_13
me and my friends just had a Super smash bros brawl tourny like last weekend actually. lol. so its hardly forgotten among the people i know.

It doesnt have the same appeal melee did. Its weird. Melee lasted me for many years but brawl got stale after 6 months.
I played SSBB nonstop since launch, but I think it's finally reaching its decline with me. I played Melee for a while, but then I stopped playing it entirely.
I'll still play it every now and then, but when games like NSMBW and SMG2 come out, I'll play it once in a while, but not all the time.
