IGN is the one that said it was going to be online.I never heard it from the head honchos themselves.

The new EGM has a story about SSBB with the phrase "With the promise of online play..." but yeah, without hearing Nintendo themselves say it's going to be online I'm a bit weary.

if its not online i don't see much reason to get it. Yes it looks prety and there are new charatcers butmelee is good enough for me to play with my m8s and that. They need to expand the game. and online is crucial if they want to. I was so hyped when i heard it was online, but now ifeel sad in side.

It would be stupid not to include online, Nintendo would have made a big mistake by not including online. I think that it is very likely to have it.

Maybe they didn't announce it because they are still trying to get online to work and if it doesn't work they wouldn't put it in the game but if it does then they will announce it.

Assumptions eh? Online was not confirmed for SSBB, No matter what you want to think it wasnt confirmed, it was simply just mentioned and said he would try to put it online. But they will probably put it online.

Well considering its coming out December 3rd gives me more belief in it being online.

We all know that SSBB will be online seeing how it make perfect sence and it is being released after several of other games online. The question is why didnt they say it? I think its the same reason that SSBB isnt playable at E3, The Smash Bros website. There is a long way between now and Dec 3rd and for some reason Nintendo thinks that the best way to build the hype/suspense is to release tiny bits of info every weekday from here till then. Being online is going to be the biggest news they havent yet announced so they are going to save that for somewhere down the road. Same reason for not being playable at E3... extras in the game will get discovered if people get to play it and so they would not be show us those extras one by one. I am not saying this is a good system but it is obvious this is why nintendo is doing things this way. All in all dont worry, it will be online, I would bet my Wii on it.

Ok heres the thing ALL of you are seeming to forget. The guy that created smash said in the begining that nintendo came to him and asked him to create brawl for online play and he took the job cause they told him they would just take melee and add online if he didnt take the project. So what you think he lied? If he cant get online to work which its retarded if he doesnt seeing as almost all games on 360,ps3 are online then we have to admit that nintendo's console is inferior and they obviously suck at programming so theres no reason why there shouldnt be online, so dont worry or your going to end up worrying to death over a damn video game.
