this is prolly a beaten question but does anyone know when super smash bros melee will become a vc game for download?
im just wondering cause when it is, im going to finally buy a wii just for that one game(zelda too of course)

If you mean the original Super Smash Bros., I have no clue. But if you want Melee, you can go and buy the GCN disc at Game Stop. You can't DL Melee

....SSBM is a gamecube game. you buy gamecube games in stores. if your talking about the original smash bros, i dunno when thats comin out, and im sure no one else does.

EDIT you will need a gamecube controller to play gamecube games.

dude, ssbm is a gamecube game.  Meaning it won't be on virtual console

you have to buy the GC game in disc form.

Oh yea. it will be available on dec 2018 when a new nintendo console comes out. If you can't wait that long, i suggest you buy it for 30 bucks at target or walmart.

Before you buy the wii i suggest you go to wikipedia , type in wii, and do some research, so you know all the pros and cons to the system.

guys calm down he doesnt have the system neither do i. Okay well that whole VC stuff is only for the old school stuff. Yes the Wii is backward compatable but you cant buy Super smash Melee on the Wii shop channel. You can buy it at target (though u will need a GC controller)

nope. no BC at all. they just put those 4 gamecube controller ports and memory ports there for show :P /sarcasm

I don't think the original has been annouced yet but you can find melee at every gamestop store. Melee is a GC game

you can not download gamecube games but you can use backwards-compatability to play gamecube games. That is why there is a slot for 4 GC controllers on top and two memory card slots FYI.
