star fox for the snes can be downloaded for free on emulators and played on the wii or gamecube with mods. **** paying for downloads and star fox for the wii aint happening cuz nintendo cant publish anything good right now... theyre hogging all the profits for development of the wii2 (hopefully)crossing my fingers that zelda gets pushed back to be a launch title game for the wii2 like they did with the wii(but not a backward compatible one) maybe theyll do the same with satr fox(2 big titles like that would be a great start)Bowen747xWith all due respect, you have no idea what you are talking about and just made all of that up out of thin air. The only reason that annoys me is because you may mislead people who are looking for an accurate answer to the TC's question.
Assault was great, I don't know why people complained about it. Honestly, aside from the first game in the series, its the only one I acknowledge. 64 was essentially rubbish in my eyes, it was inexcusable to not introduce some sort of save feature by that generation. SF Adventure was Rare proving they didn't have an original bone in their body by making a Zelda clone and shoehorn a Star Fox skin onto Dinosaur Planet. Command was interesting, but was yet another sidestep and felt more like a Star Fox RTS than a true SF game.
I'd love for Nintendo to make Star Fox into their answer for the Battlefield series. The ability to fly the Arwing, pilot the Landmaster, and get on foot to switch between both while shooting like your life depended on it was incredibly fun. If anything was wrong with SF:Assault, it was the story. Keeping Tricky and Krystal in there almost made me stop playing.
tl;dr I think Assault is the direction Nintendo should move in for the series. Introduce online multiplayer to that sort of formula and

Agreed on those points. If they were to restrict the game only to the Arwings; it will be a step backwards for the series. It will be a plain dumb idea to not be able to eject from your vehicle in an effort to save yourself. How about trying to survive in a escape pod in space after loosing you Arwing? I also thing the game can benifit from more mission based style of gaming. I mean, come one, the Star Fox Team are a group of mercenaries (good mercenaries that is) and they saved their star system for years!
