Stereograms are IMO much easier to look at than the "stereo pair" images.

Something like this is what we should expect (3D wise) from the 3DS, the overall image quality will obviously be better though.

Sit at arms length from the monitor and set your eyes as if you're focusing on something far away, if you focus on the image you won't see the effect.
So imaging that you're looking at something far off and then keep your eyes in that "position" until the effect can be seen. It may be difficult at first but once you learn how to do it it's like riding a bike and you'll be able to see the effect in images like this in a few seconds.

Here's a 3D image and image and here's an animation.

For more example just search for "stereogram" with any search engine.

Those were awesome. It was hard to make out the shapes on the animation, though.

Also, for people who are having trouble seeing the image, put your face up close to the picture, relax your eyes so that all you see of the picture is a blur, and then move your face away from the screen. You should see a large 3-D spiral thing.

Pretty cool. I got it to work to looking at something above and behind my monitor then looking at the picture/video without refocusing on the screen.

Really, I thought the animation was just as easy. Just look at it the same way as a still image.

i have a hard time not focusing on the animations because its onstantly changing and annoys my eye. It refocuses after that. I have to put my face upclose to the screen, and mess around with how im focusing my eye for a while before i see anything. this is just me though.

I'm beginning to think you require a medical condition to see the animated ones. Or we have a whole lot of liars here :)

Well if been able to see this sort of thing will be required to use 3D on the 3DS I guess I won't be getting one because nothing happened, and to be honest I don't want to play it as a standard DS.

No the 3DS has a 3D screen so you won't have to focus in this way.

This isn't that difficult though, it's just the first time that it may take a few minutes, but after that it's easy.

Cool, also I went into the other topic a bit like this and I kinda did it with an Image of Link on Epona for OoT, but the only bit I could see while doing it was Link on Epona and it did pop out quite clearly, but I couldn't see the rest of the pic at all or anything else on my screen so I stopped, but I'll try these ones again after I let my eyes rest after the last one.

Weird. I'saw the animated one for a few seconds, but blinked and it was gone. The still one I wasn't able to see.
