Same here sadly I'm just going to wait for SSB4 and buy it.

Why? What were you expecting
It's going to have Mario, Pikmin, and Nintendo Land at launch from first party and games like the Rabbids on the 3rd party from.
Much better then the pathetic lineup for the Wii at launch from first party

Is Mario confirmed as a launch title? It wasn't going to be a Day 1 purchase for me no matter what Nintendo said. I'll do the typical 'wait at least a year from launch' and see what their lineup is like before buying. They didn't really shock or wow me other than with Pikmin, ZombiU and surprisingly the LEGO game.
We knew NSMB U was coming and I was wowed by Rayman and AC3 from yesterday's show. Now Wii U just needs even more hardcore titles. It has the graphical power now, so it's possible. So far hardcore game support is okay, but add some unique shooters to entice the hardcore market. Great job Ubisoft for supporting Wii U so much though.

Is Mario confirmed as a launch title? Yes, it is.Same here also Project P-100 is supposed to be Launch window title from what Reggie said.Honestly, Pikmin 3, Zombi U, Lego undercover and Mario would make a great launch for me, so yes

Shockingly, I'm going to agree with Jaysonguy. People seem to think games are developed over night and where expecting to see Zelda, Metroid, Animal Crossing, Donkey Kong, F-Zero, Star Fox and hundreds of 3rd party games,on top of everything we where shown. The truth is the WiiU has a great hardcore lineup for the launch of a system with Mario and Pikmin leading the way and titles like ZombiU, Rayman Legends and even ports like Batman. Also it seems like people where expecting Nintendo to just drop the casual crowd, why would they do that? Just like with Wii, titles like Wii Fit U and Just Dance 4 have the power to shift systems. I'm also partly expecting NintendoLand to come bundled with WiiU.
I can understand why some where disappointed, but it wasn't Nintendo's fault. You hyped it up too much for yourselves, you where expecting to see hundreds of games from both Nintendo and 3rd parties, you expected something that would be impossible for the launch of any new system(I did the same thing), that is YOUR OWN fault, not Nintendo's. The games you where expecting/hoping to see will come in time, but the fact remains that for the launch of the system, they have a pretty good line up, one that is much better than what the Wii, 360 and PS3 had.
Also there were many people expecting Smash Bros. Wii U that wasn't going to happen because they just started it in April of 2012 because they had to finish Kid Icarus Uprising first and that was released in March of 2012.

I agree with both of you, but I would have liked to see one more first party game. That would have sealed the deal for me personally. Supposedly Shiggy is working on a new IP, that would have been awesome to show, as well as whatever Retro is working on. I think mainly what people are pissed about is they closed with Nintendo Land. It was not the best thing to close with when 99% of the people watching the conference are hard core gamers. I know it left a bad taste in my mouth, especially when Reggie said "Now before we go, lets take a look at...." *get excited for awesome reveal* "....Nintendo Land one more time." I got really bummed there, and I imagine others did too.I was not expecting a huge blockbuster like Metroid, a 3D Mario or Zelda (were people seriously expecting zelda or mario?), and I love Pikmin. So Pikmin 3, Nintendo Land, New Super Mario Bros. Mii, as well as some awesome looking third party support (Rayman Legends in particular). These games will tide me over, as well as the basic fun using the Wii U hardware until next year's E3, where I will be expecting a big blockbuster.
I'm still hyped :D

It does have a good launch line up. I know the more exciting games will be coming later, I just don't know why they didn't us those more exciting games.I'll probably get one eventually.
When depends on any more information I can get out of E3, and the price of course.
No I wanted a Zelda game and I didn't get one shaking my head. Can it play wii games? Can Wii u play wii games?
SGTDucks
It would be insane to expect a zelda game this early. That's like expecting nintendo to publish uncharted 3 and halo for the wiiu at launch.
And yes, it's BC.
You really expected a Zelda WiiU title to be shown less than a year after the release of Skyward Sword? You are living proof that people expected too much.No I wanted a Zelda game and I didn't get one shaking my head. Can it play wii games? Can Wii u play wii games?

You know after seeing nintendos conf. even though it could be better, i want a Wii U i don't know why even though my first wii broke about a few days after the warranty so i never got to expereince it. Till this day there is a Mario galaxy CD in that wii. Wii u looks fun.

I don't know why anyone would want one less.
If you were willing to buy it before on what we already knew about it and now we got P-100 and ZombiU as well as exclusive Rayman Legends it's a huge bonus
Add into that the revamped online and I really don't know what else Nintendo can do for a consumer.
It made me want one more. I have it nearly paid off already.
Then again, I don't think I'm the only gamer in the world and I understand the need to show SiNG, Just Dance and Nintendo Land during the presentation and why Game & Wario, P-100 were revealed after the show.
I mean are people really that bothered that consoles nowadays are made for everyone and not just gamers? Can you not share something?
Pikmin 3 looks gorgeous and fun, New Super Mario Bros U was known about but got even prettier. If you hyped yourself up more that's your own fault.

You, and the people who are "shocked" Smash Bros didn't show up are what is wrong with the industry. You look a gift horse in the mouth and spit on it.
No way Zelda would be here so soon. Only if there was an HD Collection.
While Nintendo's E3 sucked. The system itself is still boss and awesome.; Just from Nintendo Direct I still plan on a Mid Night Launch for Wii U. The system itself we know is great. Its the games that seem to be the problem. I JUST WANT TO SEE RETRO STUDIO'S GAME!!! StarFox HD!!! COME ON DAMN IT.
Yes Wii U plays Wii games. Nintendo is always backwards compatibable.

Was supposed to be a new Zelda 3DS game...but that could be at tomorrows 3DS show. And where was Retro Studios? They were supposed to show off their mystery game cough starfox cough.

Here is Gamespot's coverage of Project P-100 it looks really cool it is 12:43 seconds of gameplay.
Project P-100 is a new IP from Nintendo and Platinum games. It is directed by Hideki Kamiya and produced by Atsushi Inaba.
Players must explore each stage to find helpless citizens and recruit them to join their army of heroes. The more heroes you gather, the greater your Special Morph Powers will be.
Players can use the Wii U GamePad's touch screen to command heroes such as Bonzai Man, Vending Machine Man and even Toilet Bowl Man. Heroes can also morph into gelatin to guard themselves from enemy attacks.
Players can also use the GamePad to explore areas unseen on the TV screen and solve puzzle elements.
Platinum Games, known for hit titles like Bayonetta and MadWorld, has partnered with Nintendo to apply its unique talent to the development of one of the first games for Wii U.

It wasn't like the Wii's launch lineup was chopped liver in comparison, though. It did have games like Twilight Princess, Wii Sports, and Red Steel out of the gate, so appealing software was there. However, there is a critical factor that is being missed if you just look at the games alone. The Wii provided a fresh gaming experience, something that is unlike most new consoles in this day and age. This is the challenge that will determine if the Wii U's launch will make a similar impact as the Wii's did. Even with Mario and Pikmin available out of the gate, if consumers don't find themselves experiencing something that's special, they will be less inclined to pick it up immediately.
Personally speaking, I had next to no intention of picking up the Wii U anytime soon, as the premise of the console itself has yet to draw me in. Called me spoiled by the uniqueness of the Wii and DS, perhaps, but I don't see Nintendo's uniqueness as clearly with the Wii U (and 3DS) as with those previous two systems. To me, they're more evolutionary in terms of tech and horsepower than ideas, and I'll need to see Nintendo execute on the systems' so-called 'possibilities' before making the jump.

You summed it up nicely. Kudos! I think Nintedno presented the console well and you can't ask for a better launch lineup. They have a solid lineup of games compared to the steller launch lineup of the Sega Dreamcast...and thats saying something.
