A few months ago I made a topic about wether I should try and hunt down a Wii or simply walk into a store and get a 360. I eventually decided to take the easy route and just got an Xbox 360. Five months later, Metroid priome 3 is out and is the last straw, I need a Wii! Problem is, game stores don't ever seem to have any in. I can only seem to preorder bundles online with no garuntee I'll get one. And dispite this it seems everyone but me has a Wii by now. I've been thinking of trying the Nintendo World Store, if anyone has a large stock of Wii's, it should be there. Anyway, are Wii's still selling like hotcakes, or am I just not looking hard enough? BONUS QUESTION! I recently got an Widescreen HDTV. I know the Wii is 480i/480p only, butt do all games support Widescreen, or only select ones? I heard Prime 3 is 16:9. Thanks in advance!

Yes, they're still being sold basically as soon as they hit the shelves. As for widescreen, all of the games i've played so far have had 16x9 support. I'm sure there are probably some that dont but I haven't found any yet.

I got mine at a gamestop ( i harassed them all day and asked when the shipment was in ). They got 3 Wii's in and they were gone in like 10 mins.

Good luck, I hope you can find one!

Find out what time electronic/retail/game stores open in the morning in your area, get their phone numbers, and on mornings when you are free call right when they open and ask if they have any Wiis in stock. I did this last week for the first time and on the second day of trying the first two stores I called, a GameStop and a GameCrazy, had just gotten Wiis. I picked up 3 that morning. You got to get them the morning they start selling a fresh shipment.

Yeah these babies are still so hard to find... I lucked out huge and picked one up at launch. The best advice I can give you is to go to a Mom-and-Pop local game shop and ask them about their next shipment as getting one at GameStop, EB, or Best Buy is nigh impossible. The only game I know of that doesn't support 16:9 is Mario Party 8. And yes Prime is in 16:9 and it looks AMAZING.

Still virtually impossible to find in the DC area. I got lucky a couple of months ago and found about a dozen at a Best Buy during lunch. I must have got there right after the shipment arrived. I haven't seen another one since.

HAHA we (Scotland) have lots in every shop... it's been easy to get a Wii for months now
