Damn.  I've been trying to buy this system for months now.  I can't find it anywhere and I refuse to pay some lowlife scum on ebay 40% more then what its worth to get it.  I will not support future people camping out and jacking up the supply to make a profit on ebay.  Dont support those scumbags!!!  I'm getting a little pissed off here.  If Nintendo doesn't get their crap together soon they are loosing me as a fan.  I wont buy another nintendo ever again.  This is unacceptable.

Yeah.  Damn them!  Imagine when the new Harry Potter book comes out and what if a bunch of people kept buying the books and selling them on ebay for 100 bucks each.  Thats what is happening now.  Lowlifes without jobs are camping out at circuit city and buying up all the systems that come out each and every time because the supply is low enough they can control the market and sell them on ebay.

They make a million month. Upping production in April. Everytime someone is exposed to the wii especialy a lasped or nongamer they often want one. So one wii becomes five. Kind of hard to make enough units when the demand keeps increasing.

It's not Nintendo's fault if the demand is higher than the offer. Nintendo delivers but the buyers do what you don't want to do. Huge rumours indicated that in April, Nintendo will increase the production.

Heck yeah!  There are STILL people camping outside stores EVERY Sunday FOUR months latter.  WTF?!  Haha.  I live in a large metropolitan area and all the stores are sold out.  This is crazy.  They better get going fast I want my wii.  It seems like every person that was ever a nintendo fan is now coming back into the fold.  Damn!!!

Nintendo's "year" starts in april. they should be at the production capabilities they need to be at buy then. also, there is that GS article about how gamstop said nintendo is holding them back, which could or could nto be true: and increase in deman y'know? but yeah, soon.

Just wondering - what makes them scumbags?

They see a possibility to profit, and a console is hardly a necessity of life so it's not like they're starting a black market. Hell, if you want it that badly buy one on eBay. That's what I did - I got it in the first week without waiting in line and paid $50 more.

This is what it comes down to: if you don't want to camp or go on eBay, you're not getting one. And you know what? Nintendo could care less if you don't buy one because of that, because they're STILL having a hard time keeping the thing on the shelves.

As these other guys said, you'll probably be able to find one pretty easily in April.

Don't blame Nintendo. Nintendo's handling the demand better than any other company would. 360's were still NON-EXISTENT at this point in its life cycle. Nintendo's making a ton, but too many people want them.

please ..  take a sedative.

a) there are units in stores, sometimes you need to be lucky, other times you need to camp out.... (im not saying youre one of these people, but most people are unwilling to put the effort into finding the wii which is in very high demand right now) so dont expect to walk into a store and see 49 sitting on shelves begging to be bought.

b)  nintendo...  prolly doesnt care if they lose you, for every one of you they lose, they get 4 more fans, and if low supply is going to make you boycott their products, then you could have wanted a wii that much to begin with.

so please.  take a sedative, maybe burn one down...    and get up early to camp out..  or just wait.

but threatening nintendo on a gamespot forum will do little to no good...  scratch that..   just no good.

try calling outpost.com, thats where i lucked out on mine. on the plus side, if they have some in stock its yours instead of waiting in line and all you have to do is pay about 10$ for shipping. I think they only charged me shipping and not the tax.

Quit being a baby.  Nintendo can't help that their product is so popular.  You're complaining that you can't get a Wii, what you mean is that you can't get one without putting in some effort.  Some people call every store they know of every day.  Some people do research to find out when the truck is coming to their local store.  Some people planned ahead and pre-ordered.  You're mad at people camping out to get Wiis.  Maybe you can't camp out because of work, but you could find one of these lowlifes with no job (if you can find one you trust) and give him $20 to camp out for you.
