Can you see what I did with the title there?, anyway...

Street Fighter IV producer Yoshinori Ono recently brought hope to fans wanting the forthcoming installment on the Wii.

The game, a fresh 3D take on the franchise, is currently due for Xbox 360, PS3 and PC as you know.

Siliconera recently sat down and discussed the game at Comic-Con 2008. As well as detailing everything from who's behind the project to who'll be making a return to the fighting arena, Ono revealed that there may be a chance for IV Wii.

Right now we know Street Fighter IV will come out on three home platforms, but have you thought about the Wii at all?

YO: The more people that ask about it, the more likely we are to move in that direction. The very existence of Street Fighter IV was based on people asking about it for so long. If we get a lot of requests it will be something we will think about. It might be difficult to reproduce the graphics exactly as they are, but the gameplay should be completely intact. It's something we can think about.

Those pondering if a brand new Street Fighter with ****c sprites or the remixed edition would be possible on Nintendo's box of tricks - it's something the Japanese publisher would think about.

Here's a thought. You know how Capcom is reviving Mega Man 9? Maybe you can use sprites like in the old Street Fighter games and have a special Wii version.

Maybe we can do some kind of collaboration with the HD remix or something. We'll have to think about that one.

Source; Siliconera's interview.

I knew it would be a possibility, Capcom have a obligation to produce a Nintendo SF game, Capcom's all time sales figures say they have to.

As a massive fan of the series since before the snes game I really hope this game becomes a reality in whatever guise. Personally I would prefer not to have a watered down version of four but instead a new SF game entirely. After having played 4 in the arcade on the weekend at a tournament I think a reduced version of it would look terrible on Wii. If it's not going to have 2D.5 they should forget about it, that's for sure. Alpha 4 or something based on SF3 Double Impact would be awesome, or even a new game altogher would be such a cool title for the Nintendo Wii to have.

I suggest Wii owners make there voices heard when and as soon as a means for them to be heard is opened up by Capcom. Even petitions which I think have little impact normally could now have some if the numbers within them are good.

So what styl of game do you want?

If they really did take Street Fighter 4 and reskin it with 2-D sprites and put it on the Wii, I would wii my pants. Heck, I bet a lot of classic SF fans would, too, considering how many out there complain about SF going 3-D. We can only hope!

That's never going to happen on Wii. KoF12 uses the X2 platform which is not replicable on Wii hardware, it's just too weak for the demands of the game. They would have to rework the whole thing meaning a costly new project. SNK are likely to bring it to the other two platforms at TGS08. Here's hoping SNK do release a fighter on Wii anyway though. Rumours are they will show Last Blade on Virtual Console at TGS. It was never released in the west.

Show, why wouldn't they?. SNK Playmore showed a collection of Wii VC games at last years show (6 games), as well as two collection games on disc.

The question that the western media kept asking about was not about the games they had on show but the one they did not show on the booth, that being Last Blade. The representative running the booth said SNK plan to bring all their classic games to Wii including Last Blade. A year has passed which is ample time now for the VC game to be ready.

YEP, fully agree Marvel Vs Capcom is perfect for Wii, still, it would be nice to see a proper SF game first.

It's OK to have them featured but... "rumors are they will show..." WTF, now announcing old games is the hot rumors?

Well it could use the wii remote and nunchuck like how dragon ball z does it where you minic the moves. It will definaly let you use the camecube controler and classic controler.

BTW the trend name Street Fighter A new hope reminds me of Star Wars a NEw hope

Do you even know how much of a big game Last Blade is, you seem not to have a clue. So what if it's old, nobody in the west gives a F about it's date of initial release, they will just be glad of it's arrival on VC in the west.

No, I don't have a clue, and I still find it funny how a h4wt TGS rumorz is a VC release. That's even better than E3 08 megaton being the 360 getting yet another PS3 port!

If you're a fan of fighting games you really should have a 360 or PS3 this gen. I mean Virtua fighter 5 and Soul Calibur IV are amazing games. And you get all the Streetfighter games they will release such as HD remix, Streefighter 4 ect.

What's this "hot" BS your coming out with all about?, what have you got stuck up there? lol

The game has been noted to be on it's way to Wii in Famitsu's rumour section, actual fans of fighting games who know of the legendary game and know how good of a game it is will be pleased with that. End of story, Please remove what you have up there before replying.

Great for Shodown though :D 2 has been rated in the US, you should be getting it soon. We in the UK will likely have to wait a few weeks after.

where can you get that and what systems do they come in? i'd like to get one for the ps2 (hopefully not too expensive so i can get 2). if not, i dont mind getting it for the wii, assuming more 2D fighting games come out for the VC (or actually, i'd rather play something kinda more modern so maybe even a wiiware fighter :D)

Yeah, I was disappointed when I found out that you couldn't swap the D-Pad controls to enable your character to move, making this nearly impossible to play Brawl with... Though I have enough problems with this thing in Street Fighter II Turbo(too used to the SNES controller for that game...), so it might have been a same scenario with Brawl. It would have been really fun to play using the Fighting Stick, though I guess I can live... *smash attacked off screen*

Though I am looking up to Samurai Shodown 2, I really hope Anthology allows for Cla$$ic controller support so I can use the Arcade pad on that. It made me very sad that Metal Slug Anthology only had GameCube controller support as an alternative.(not counting The Wiimote with or without the Nunchuk)

@bionicle_lover- You can find the Fighting Stick Wii at game retailers(I've only really seen them at GameStops). The only issue with the Fighting Stick is that they cost $40 each...

yeah gamestops have them and they were at 50 or 60 bucks and went down to 40 so i bet by christmas u'll be able to get it at like $30 $35. and it really did suck that with all the control swapping in brawl the only one they didnt have was the one to swap movement but the controller is still totaly worth it. If u like fighting games and own the Horri u should pick up Guilty Gear XX Accent Core its a better fighter than any of the Street Fighter games.

As far as street fighter 4 i just want the same game and features the other systems have with maybe an exclusive char and a free download of like an online enabled street fighter 2 remix

Does everybody have a Classic controller? I don't think so. If Capcom makes this game for the Wii, they have to make sure that everybody can play it. And what better way than packaging a controller with the game.:D

Multiplayer isn't mandatory. Multiplayer is optional since you can even play in single player if you don't like multiplayer. Besides explain me how Street Fighter 4 can be played with the Wiimote or Wiimote+Nunchuck? Motion in fighters? Please...

Nintendo's been sued about the controllers and they might have to take them off the market. Thats why I said make their own controller instead, since the Classic controllermight not be available anymore.
