Super Mario 3 coming anytime soon?

I was checking the past threads and posts and I haven't really found any information. Anyone have any idea when Super Mario 3 will be released for the Virtual Console?

I tried: http://www.gamespot.com/pages/forums/show_msgs.php?topic_id=25670544 but it hasn't been updated since early October.

I wonder when they plan to release it, it's probably the best Nintendo game out there.

I'm gonna guess that if it doesn't come out with SMG then some other mario title will (RPG?).

We might be waiting a long while though. There are a lot of game to be released and they are pretty hush hush about which ones they are until they are released. Personally, I think it makes mondays much more exciting!

Screw excitement. I plan on holding off from buying from the Virtual Console until Super Mario 3 comes out xD

Super Mario 3 was one of the reasons why I wanted to buy a Wii, that and maybe other games like Dr. Mario and Mario Kart etc xD

Do you think it's possible that they will release Super Mario 3 for the NES price then down the line release 'Super Mario All-Stars' which contains 1,2,3 and Lost Worlds at SNES price? That would suck =/

I'm thinking they probably will do that. But it would be nice if they had something where if you downloaded SMB 1, 2, 3, & LL then you could get All Stars for free. Won't happen though, I'm sure.

I would like to see the original Mario Kart.

I'm hoping it comes out on Monday. Nintendo would be smart to do so, to get people even more excited for SMG a week later, if that's even possible.

I've been waiting for that game, it's easily my favorite side scrolling Mario game.

It should come soon. This is what bugs me about the VC. It is suppose to be for the games that defined gaming or are pure classics and yet no real RPGs, no SM3. I guess they can't release them all at the first or people wouldn't keep checking it hoping something good came out... raahsnavj

True but the antisipation for this game is amazingly high. I plan to buy 4-5 other VC games once Super Mario 3 comes out. Hopefully it will be released in the next two weeks to match with SMG.

Speculations as of now are:

Monday November 5th, 2007
Monday November 12th, 2007 (SMG Release)

Those dates to coincide or hype the release of SMG, if not then possibly during Christmas or a gaming drought.
