Not Mario Kart 3D? Now that's a surprise.Kenny789
Or Mario Kart 3DS... they must have ran out of names or something :P but that's not going to stop me getting both games day 1.
Why did they put "Land" AFTER "3D"? I also think they could have come up with something better for Mario Kart. 7; really???

Super Mario Land 3D wouldn't work because this game doesn't look like Super Mario Land at all and I guess they thought that Mario Kart 3DS sounded too generic.
Super Mario 3D Land doesn't really roll off the tounge. I'm not a big fan of just slapping 3D to the title but having 'land' at the end just seems awkward.
Mario Kart 7 is also a pretty strange title considering they've never used numbers before. I personally didn't know this was the 7th MK game and i'm sure for a lot of the casuals out there who have only experienced Mario Kart Wii and DS, having it named Mario Kart 7 could be a bit weird. I'm also sad that Mario Kart doesn't release till December! :|
It's actually release months, we don't know the dates yet. I guess it's interesting that they threw Land at the end of Mario. I guess they decided to carry on the old GB series, at least in name. Also a bonus of the name Mario Kart 7 is that I had never bothered counting how many Mario Kart games there were so now I don't have to. Thanks Nintendo for saving me a little bit of counting.
I see nothing wrong with these titles. They make complete sense. Super Mario 3D Land sounds far better than Super Mario Land 3D simply because Super Mario Land 3D sounds like a remake or something similar to New Super Mario Bros (DS and Wii). Mario Kart 7? It is odd, but then again if you look at all of their Mario Kart games, none of them really have fancy names, except Double Dash, but people didnt really like that game (although I loved it).

Or they thought people might confuse it with MK DS, while its insane to think people would make that mistake, you can never underestimate people not paying attention to what their doing.Mario Kart 7 sounds a strange name but who cares as long as its still Mario Kart quality I am happy and Super Mario 3DS Land in sounds exciting.

i agree, it should just be called "Super Mario Land 3D", instead of their "Super Mario 3D Land" or just get rid of Land in the name

Both of those sound like a remake, you know like Ocarina of Time 3D, they don't want people to think its a remake. Anyway people care too much about names these days, its pointless. A great game with a crappy name is a great game and the crappy game with a great name, is still just a crap game.super mario 3d land is an awesome title.. like disneyland... wonderland... its a new land we will explore...also the super mario land on GB was epic..
mario kart 7 must be a working title lol..mario Kart 7 3DS is at least pretty decent...it shows that the franchice has survived a long time most likely because of quality..and that will convince people to buy it. like gran turismo 5 or final fantasy 13

Then again, people can be silly.
Actually, I like the sound of Super Mario 3D Land. It has a nice ring to it. Mario Kart 7 sounded different at first, but I'll grow with it because it's not the first time there was a number on a Mario Kart title. Super Mario 64 was the first one.
