I have barely playing my nintendo DS since I got it but have recently bought a copy of Super Mario Bros. and can't get past the first castle level in the first world. I assume I need to somehow get into the gold tunnel, but can't. It's driving me mad. Can anyone help?

I don't know what you're referring to exactly. Do you mean that Yellow drain pipe that sticks out of the right hand wall? If so, that's not where you're suposed to go. You have to stand on the green pipe and look at the moving platforms above you. You need to enter the green drain pipe at just the right time so you can get fired through when an opening is made.
