In Chapter 3-4, when you have to get the keys in Fort Francis, I went into the dungeon to get the first code, the same dungeon that held the pixl. I got the code, and then I left without getting the new pixl, Carrie. I didn't notice this and went ahead and got the key. Once I noticed, I tried going back down to the dungeon, but the guy who puts you in there wont put me back because I gave him the code, so now I cant get Carrie to go through the second key part. Does anyone have any ideas to get Carrie, or is it too late and I must start over my file? Help will be greatly appreciated.

 couldn't you just start the chapter over? be much better than starting the whole file over. Use the return pipe then when you go back through the door you will start at 3-1 again. I'm not sure if this is really necessary but it's a better option to starting the whole game over again
I tried doing that, but I started noticing that all the things I've done were already done for me. Like in the first chapter, I hit a block, and when I used the return pipe, I saw the block was hit, so I think that if I go to 3-4, i will be stuck at the same problem.

 wouldn't hurt to try at least, it's not like you couldn't rush through it to go to where you were
It seems like mario designers would be smart enough to not let something like that happen, just make sure you tried everything, then go on with the game.Â
I really can't say, it never happened with me. If I were you, I'd use the return pipe and see if anything works out, if not, then look on the bright side, you get to recap what has already happened, and it's better than starting over just before the final chapter or something, yknow?
