super smash and pokemon is saving nintendo ?

dont get me wrong they have a few great games but all honestly i think smash bros and pokemon games are the only games really hot right now

Nintendo has tons of hot games this gen. Kirby, Zelda, Style Savvy, Animal Crossing, Tomodachi Life, Mario, Fire Emblem, Kid Icarus, Splatoon, etc.

@papermario: It's tough to find that believable. Because the way I'm seeing it, the Nintendo mistake is WiiU hardware, and not really the games they released, Animal Crossing, Zelda, Kart. Nintendo makes great games!

The 3DS had an optional gimmick, but it didn't hold down the hardware, WiiU did and that's what made the company suffer a little.

Switch seems to be correcting this, because a modern handheld that connects to your television is a very good idea. If done right. And porting WiiU games like Splatoon and Kart8 are clever choices. Add Tropical Freeze and Bay2 and Nintendo will already have some 5* games at launch for those that never tried a WiiU_
