Super Smash Bros. 3D?

They will I bet...project Soro is headed by the guy who makes that game, hes only discussed Icarus and I believe he mentioned they alone are working on a few games, so one of them has to be a new ssb 3ds...

That would definitely help get attention for the 3DS, and being able to use the analogue stick would be nice, too.

I'm still a bit iffy on the topic of a handheld Smash, but I'm a bit less skeptical after seing what the 3DS is capable of doing.

Yes, a new Super Smash Bros. 3DS sounds interesting, but, it wouldn't exactly feel right... Playing it on the 3DS would be pretty weird. The only good thing is that it's portable.

You are just saying that cause a smash bros was never done on a portable system before, its somewhat understandable that it wont be as great as playin on a console but in no way would it feel weird

still don't like the idea of a handheld smash bros. would make multiplayer sessions much harder to happen. so no. i like mine on the videogames that have controllers.BrunoBRS

yeah i don't want it either, I really don't see the appeal. The screens are way too small for 4 players maybe 2 but then whats the point?

Well, here's a quote from Sakurai, the main person in control of SSB (granted, it is a couple years old):

"Seeing the success that Brawl has had with the Wii remote being playing sideways, I don't think that there are control limitations that keep it from being ported to the DS. But I personally have no plans to do this myself. If, in the future, such a thing was to be planned, it would be up to Nintendo to decide how and when and in what way they would like to create that sort of game."

There hasn't been a Smash Bros on a handheld yet, it's unlikely that there will be one for the 3DS. Don't hold your breath.

on a video on gametrailers interview that director of nintendo takes with the maker of kid iracus, this came forward.

nintendo director found out that fans wanted to play there old games in a new way, ( when the 3D effect on the handheld was still not 100% possible to get implanted ). Then super smash bros came up ( atleast the developer of kid iracus ) said this towards the nintendo director.

the reaction from teh nintendo director was: Yes i know, supersmash brothers got all the characters, but where are there games?.

So the best men got the order to make a kid iracus game for the 3DS. Which was original een just 3D game without 3D effects. when the 3DS became reality, they directly started to work with 3D effects throught it.

So basicly what you can say is, that super smash bros was throwen at the nintendo directors as a game, which he placed besides him. and changed it towards kid iracus.

It could be that super smash bros will be the next big project of this men, but only if the director agree's with that :P.

we will see what the future brings, it would be a instant buy for me tho.
