Super Smash Bros 4 opinions

Sorry to get your hopes up, no news about a fourth... yet... Anyway, I was sitting around thinking and a huge idea pummeled my face in: Start an online petition to include Travis Touchdown in the next SSB game!

For those of you who don't know what/who I'm talking about, Travis Touchdown is the main character from the great yet overlooked game No More Heroes, he wields a Beam Katana (lightsaber) and he's got this attitude that almost seems off the walls at first but then you're like holy crap he's amazing. Anyway, here's my logic behind it, No More Heroes is VERY Nintendo exclusive in fact the sequel (No More Heroes Desperate Stuggle) is hitting the Wii next January, and Suda51 says that no other console could properly portray the game because of the Wii's distinct control scheme. Anybody that agrees with me, and even if you don't, get this post going and get it noticed and hopefully we'll see Travis in the next SSB game (probably 4 or 5 years from now :P)

Sure Solid Snake is in Smash Bros., but isn't Travis Touchdown kinda crossing the line?
As much as I would love to see Travis Touchdown in a Smash Bros. game, his mature nature just makes it seem very unlikely.

SSb rocks but travis wouldent be a good idea like snake waz cool to have in there but travis is to much i would like to see a rayman raving rabbid in there or some fluffy animal that u can pown to make u feel better.

I appreciate the effort, but the moveset of Travis Touchdown is too linear to be either useful or effective.

He would be nothing but a joke character.

Here's what I would like to see added and improved:

1.) Make the online mode more functional. I was disappointed with the lag I experienced with Brawl and the hard time I had connecting random battles. This was one one of the main reasons I purchased Brawl, and one of the reasons that I hardly play the game any more.

2.) Add Wii Speak and no more preset text. Talking trash and laughing with your friends freely, is the true way to play Brawl.

3.) Add more popular classic characters from 3rd party games. Example: Simon Belmont, Megaman, Cloud from FFVII, Ryu of Street Fighter and Ryu of Ninja Gaiden, just to name a few.

4.) More downloadable content than just the customized levels we receive now. New costumes, characters, and Assist Trophies...whatever, just something different.

5.) Brawl already looks awesome, but graphical upgrades are expected of any sequel.

6.) If Nintendo decides to add something like the Subspace Emissary to the next installment, I hope they make the controls appropriate for a side scrolling platformer instead of taking controls made for a fighter and adding it into a platformer. That was my only gripe with the Subspace Emissary, other than that...it was a great side addition.

In all honesty, this is not much to add for a sequel 3yrs down the line.

why not want different characters like Tails, or maybe even Toad or dry bones or like petey piranha u know actual good characters for the game, putting snake in it was like egh.. but travis touchdown is crossing it :o

im praying that they dont put waluigi in the game.. :/

I dunno, i just reckon it would be cool to see link cut stab someone, and get showered in blood as he pulls his sword out... :O i need help

As much as I liked Travis Touchdown's character and No More Heroes,he really wouldn't fit in with the Smash Brothers universe.In some twisted,weird way,Solid Snake somehow made sense within Smash Brothers Brawl,but Travis would not.VGobbsesser

K, I'm taking this thread back!! 1) Travis makes more sense as a character than Roy, Marth, or Ike because Fire Emblem is a tactics game and No More Heroes is a fast paced action game. 2) I'll bet that there were quite a few people who went, "who the **** is Snake?" and went and bought the MGS: Essentials Collection just to find out who he was, I feel No More Heroes deserves the same treatment, hardly anybody has even heard of it even though GameSpot gave it Best Wii Game of 2008! 3) He would have a great moveset just make him as fast as Marth, maybe a bit stronger and have him be purely melee with low-medium weight so he's not unstoppable. 4) Cut his cursing but leave his insane humor, use the targeting reticle with an arrow in it, and on impact just have the enemy blast off and voila you've got a final smash! 5) Most importantly, he could replace any of the following characters: -Jigglypuff -Luigi -Ness -Peach -Ice Climbers -Mr. Game and Watch Argue amongst yourselves now about how my OPINION is wrong.yuyufan0701
