Super Smash Bros. Direct in the next few minutes (7 a.m. ET)

A new Super Smash Bros. Direct will air in the next several minutes. The presentation will deliver the latest information about Smash Bros. Ultimate, as hosted by director Masahiro Sakurai.

I will air at the following times:

Less in depth information about each character, and more information about a single player mode, challenges, unshockable, and most importantly Online features is what I am hoping to learn about.

The Smash Bros. Direct is coming in the next several minutes.

Good direct. This has me so hyped for this game. The Direct revealed 5 new characters, a lot about the stages, Classic mode, new assist trophies, new Pokemon. Still one more huge unknown if there will be an in depth single player, which could very well be the Green icon that was blurred out when the Home screen was showed. Hoping we hear more about the online as well once the service goes live in September.

Very happy they're using Simon from Super IV, and Richter from Rondo. Two of my favorite CastleVania games.

I'm not even a huge Smash Bros. fan (I like the series, but never loved it), but holy shit this game looks amazing!

I'm really happy that Simon Belmont is going to be in the game and I expect that he might be my new go-to character. I still want to see Crash Bandicoot put in the game as well.

What are everyone's thoughts on being able to play the game music without having the screen on? Could we potentially see this feature come to the Switch in the future for a Youtube app or music files loaded to the device?

interesting feature. but i think it will be game specific. like the game has to be made for it. smash might be the only game that does this ever.

because if you want this built into the OS then that means switch has to get a music player APP. i dont know if nintendo would do that. the switch doesnt play DVD's or CDs. plus switch only has 32GB of memory. i dont think nintendo built switch as a music player in mind.
