Who would be interested in seeing Super Smash Brothers rendered with 2D sprites? I think it would be cool, plus it can help save space for more characters/levels/animations and whatnot.
Thoughts, anyone?

I think that could be pretty cool. If they made a portable spin-off, and did it with super smooth animations and really detailed art, and used the 3D to separate the foreground from the background and do it maybe in a bunch of flat layers? That could be pretty neat! I wouldn't want it to be a replacement for a full 3D (as in N64/Gamecube/Wii 3D, not stereoscopic) new console Smash, but I would definitely be awesome in addition! It would be very cool. With fluid animations...drool.

But but but NO C STICK :(
No issue there for me... I never touched the C-stick in Brawl or Meele. I do my smash moves legit.... plus you can't charge them with the C-stick.

I'm a pretty solid Smash Bros. player... but I can do a smash with the control stick and A just as fast as I can reach down to the C-stick and flick it... but I'm more used to the control stick and A because I've been playing since N64. I never even bothered to try and do it with the C-stick so it just throws off my coordination if I do.
I'm pretty sure the 3DS can handle a full fledged 3D implementation of Smash Bros. I think it would be fun to see.forgot_itI agree.

I think a portable Smash Bros. would be fantastic. I'd just hope that none of the good qualities of the gameplay suffer on the system.Of course, I don't have a 3DS nor have I played one, so I don't know the capabilities of the system... but overall, it would be pretty awesome.

well if you wanna pull of quick and useful combos the c-stick is a must, so its good to use a combination of A and C stick. plus charging isnt rly useful unless ur edge gaurding or if you have them stunned or immobilized somehow...
*protip: c-stick + Z button=charge smash..
OK im done with my smash lecture, sry bout that ;D

I did not know about C-stick and Z, but I still prefer just using the control stick and A for my smashes. But if it's that important to people, they could use the touch screen for quick smashes.
