Super Smash Bros. Melee Team

Ok so me and my teammate are training for a team tourney coming up in our area and we are trying to decide why the best team for us would be. He is really good with captain falcon and fox, while I on the other hand am good with marth, samus, and I am decent with mario and pikachu. We have tried mixing and matching a little bit and no team has really clicked with us. We also train against a team that likes to use sheik and fox. Sheik usually keeps us airborne while fox finishes us with up smash. Does anybody have any team tips for us?

Have you watched the web series "The Smash Brothers"? It's a documentary on Melee players in the US. There is one particular team that has dominated. I can't remember exactly who it was, but I *think* it was Fox + Captain Falcon. Mind you though, the players themselves were really good, so it might be little to do with the characters they chose.

That's the rule of thumb.

Try to complement your partner instead of hitting him and/or her, and practice taking out people 2 on 1.
