well they could add more characters from the games already there like Boo, Toad, Krystal, Tiny Kong, ect. they could add new games Mega Man, soul caliber, boktai/lunar knights, ect. and its not like nintendo gonna stop making new game series
I mean, this is a business, and you have to look at it from that perspective. If this Smash Bros. fails, it'll be the last one. If it does anywhere near the ballpark of Melee, then it will continue.
SSB is a cash cow, and Nintendo wants every dime. (Not that I care, they're fantastic games, I'm glad they're successful)

We have no reason at all to believe that, at least not comparably.
(Correct me if wrong) SSBM was the highest selling game on GC. Expecting any game at this point to be the highest selling game on a system is madness, as making an intelligent prediction is impossible.
Also, this is not about what characters would be cool in the game. Nintendo's not going to follow a failing franchise because another installment would be "cool".
As I said before, it'll continue as long as profitable.
Usally for a game to have a sequel it has to sell at least 4 Million copies. With exception of Prime 1 &2 which combined sold 4 together. So um never mind...my theory is flawed cause there was a DS Pinball game then Hunters now Prime 3 on Wii. Well if Brawl sells at least 5 Million it will be considered a Nintendo Franchise like Star fox or F Zero etc. So um yeah.
I would like it alot if they kept making the games, but they won't be the same if Sakurai isn't making them. If you remember correctly, Sakurai didn't have plans on making a 3rd Smash Bros., but Nintendo begged him into doing it.

Yeah if the SSB games make so much money, I don't see why they should stop making them...
