Survival horror for WII: Sadness

Yeah, this was shown back at E3 2006 I think, and we haven't really heared about it since. And that trailer isn't gameplay footage. There was a big hooha about them not being able to get a publisher for the game, leading some people to believe its been canceled. We really don't know very much about it at all.

I believe Nibris, I really did. It turns out they're not even an official Wii developer. I wanted this game so badly, but instead they speared me in my metaphoric heart.

Yeah they only have Raid over the River for the DS which is just as bad as Sadness only a couple of screens were released ages ago.

The game doesn't look fake if the Gamespot news articles are anything to go by.

It looks amazing, movie footage mixed in with motion capture - looks like a next generation broken sword with full Wiimote functionality to me.

Mystery thriller or survival horror?

What would they have to gain by making up a game that would never be released? They are a small no name company, creating a little buzz for a game wont change that. If they actually had released the game, even if it wasnt very good to a huge hype train then that would help. I think simply what happened is for such a small company this project proved to be more than they could handle, especially without a publisher.Sepewrath

It's the usual bait and switch.

Announce a game that's mature rated when there were no other mature titles on the Wii. Then go and start getting headlines all over. Then have people follow every movement you do from that point on.

Just saying they "are in the process of" making a game gives them millions of free advertisiments. Using the people who are waiting for it as pawns to help move their name around.

First off they supposedlyhave one single title in the works besides Sadness, which a DS game that no one cares about. Also you dont seea new pro-Nibris thread on here everyday, you see a Sadness thread once every month or so. I dont know why you have this conspiracy theory about thier intentions, but that would have just been pointless. Also if they really were up to something like that, They wouldnt merely release three pieces of concept art and call it day. In order to effectively string someone along, they would have to sparatically release things to keep people interested. They were going to make the game, its not some master scheme, they just arent up to the task is all. If this was some grand scheme it would be hands down the worst execution ever.

Ok , what I have investigated bout this game, is that they wont show anything cause they want to leave the stroy unknown so that when you play it it will scare the hell out of you, next, I found a sadnness gameplay, it looks like a fake but I found it, next, if they didn´t said it was cancelled then it is not, like H.A.M.M.E.R or Dissaster day of crysis, next, maybe cause of the lack of colors its doesn´t look really atractive, but the producers of silent hill and eternal darkness are working on it so I can grant you it will be worth of a look, and last, I don´t have a link, so if you want to take a look yourselves then just look in google, it provides plenty of info, ign and gamespot are good sources, if you don´t believe, whatever I am just trying to give hope to those horror fans like me.

Sorry if it isn't linkefied. However, Nibris IS real, and this more than proves it to me, unless somebody has good reason to believe it's fake, tell me in that case.

That video tried WAY to hard to look serious and scary,but it failed too hard and had me LOLing during the WHOLE damn minute it lasted.

Also,I doubt that you can control a REAL person.It just too stupid to even THINK of that.Maybe,if they didn't make it in real life and ACTUALLY made a 3D animation using the IN GAME graphics,then I would believe that.

But,they can't make that animation,since this game is a big fat and LAME piece of fake.

Why are you so mad?, I don´t think it is imposible, maybe its not a real person but the graphics, yeah I think it would be better to show some gameplay so that way we wouldn´t think ita a vaporware, but if games like endless ocean came to USA when it wasn´t supposed to see the light of day i think its not that fake, or at least that is what I want to believe, basides, as I stated before they wont show anything so that the story wont be told before you actually play the game.

theres a difference between endless ocean and sadness; endless ocean showed something. sadness seems nothing more than a vaporware porject or at the very least an early concept for a later game. and lets be honest now, that trailer looked fake beyond belief. you cant control video like that. its damn near impossible because then you'd have to reshoot then scene 3 million times to coexist with the exact motion you inputed. sorry, but this game won't happen (at least, if it does, it wont be like this. all this game does is exactly what its called; create sadness)

Ok, Ok maybe that was only a video you can't control, but IGN never shows release dates of vaporwares, and ever if its a vaporware they have the decence to state that its a rumor, IGN has stated, Sadness for 2008 go take alook if you want, I have been investigating this theme since I saw the trailer, c'mon have hope, even the developer has showed its face like you can see in the link above, Nibris exist, the project exists, we will be watching a good horror game on the wii (finally) and, I dont think they would put that trailer only to lure some horror fanatics, it doesn´t look that good as other excelent games, it would have been a waste of time and money, its gonna come out, and from what I have read its gonna be a good game, and to end with all this thrash I'm writing, maybe the lack of color show more realism, but what should I know, it is the first black & white game I have ever seen in my life.

Actually,Fatal Frame had many b%w parts.Atleast the second one (which sucked in all the ways and was 300000x more boring than Fatal Frame 1)

Ok, maybe I got a little carried away, you are right, lets wait some gameplay before taking conclusions ourselves

I heard a a blog by the guy over at ign that says there is a very impressive looking game thats gritty but they cant get a publisher because the publishers says the game is great but it just wouldnt apeall to the wiis audience. Matt says it looks good i hope it gets released.
