from what i've already searched it seems my only option would be to have it sent in to be fixed unless its just a problem with the video cables which i doubt. how much would it cost to get it sent in to get fixed? and if they couldn't fix it would they possibly allow me to send them a second system to transfer my save data and wii shop games to the new one? I only ask this because i have about 25 games on there and i only just bought one yesterday.

If you haven't already try to use a different set of cables, just as a precaution. If that doesn't work, the only option would be to send it in. I believe if it's still under warranty you can get fixed for free. If not, the cost I think would be under $100, the only thing that makes me think of that is that my Xbox cost around that much to repair or send in. Also, when you contact them tell them of your save data issue and they should either, switch it for you or get a SD card and save all your data on that. You may be able to use an external hard drive using the USB port, however, I'm not sure about that. Hope it helps and I'm sorry to hear about your problem.

Nintendo's repair price is $80, but you can get that waived fairly easily. Sounds like you'll have to send it in, copy all of your save data to an SD card, for online games like Brawl you'll just have to roll the dice.
