Tell your worst mario kart wii experience

Mine occurred today. In one race, when i was first, I got hit by a blue shell, then a red shell, then lightening, and then the pow block in a span of 8 seconds:o.

There was also the time when i was hit by 4 blue shells in one race.

I was racing against friends, I was in firstand got hit by a blue shell like 10 feet short of the finish line.

I finished 8th.

Getting hit by a lightning bolt while in mid air over a bridge/gap and falling to my demise.

Happens every online session I play, I swear.

I would say ending up being hit by 3 blue shells in one lap. I hate them so much.

In the next mario kart game, nintendo should tone down the lightning and blue shells. I swear. every single lap i get hit by the lightning at least once.

Mine was like this except after the blue shell, and the guy behind me just waited until I came down and hit me with a red shell and finished in 12th:evil:

Oh, I'll never forget it. I was in first on the third lap and the finish line was in sight and then I got hit by a blue shell, followed by a bullet bill and then a star. I ended in 12th, by far the worst thing that has ever happened to me in Mario Kart.

1st place.. final lap... right at the finishing line.. blue shelled, hit by a star (1 roll) then hit by bullet bill (2 rolls) and finally, a heavy weight character uses a mushroom, hits me.. knocked down to 10th place -___-

I wasracing online against 11 other people.I was not usually in first place but second. Someone behindme gets the blue shell and launches it. As it is flying in the air and is just behind the first place guy, I pass him and get passed almost right after, and in that small time frame that I was in first place the blue shell locks on to me. So here I am in second place getting hit with the blue shell as the first place guy extends the distance between him and me. And having it happen all the time during the race.

THIS IS WHY THE BLUE SHELL NEEDS TO BE BANNED!

I was on Rainbow Road (aka: Evil Road) and I kept falling off. Went from first place to last place. Still managed to get enough points for second place overall though.

i was at the cashier at gamestop and i asked "can i preorder mario kart wii?" and the guy asked me what system it was for. when i told him it was for the wii, he said they were didn't have any. i called the guy standing right next to him, and i preordered it.

when i realized teh battle mode wasn't the same like SMK and MK64 and wasn't so much fun either , who got that stupid idea with teams ???

5 races in a row online. I was in 1st, goal in sight. I got hit by a blue shell, red shell, green shell, or bullet bill all 5 times, and got 2md twice and 3rd three times.

There was a cheather that was indentified as a Disco Mii that used infinite stars every time someone got in front of him. He got me and everyone on N64 Bowser's Castle, and I thought I finished the race better than him, but the game said he won.

But I guess your the type who likes winning in madden 100-7 as opposed to playing contested games as well.. competition too much for you? Everyone else on the track has to deal with the weapons, what makes you such a sensitive case?

That is not skill that is stupid. The game makes losing intentionally by a certain amount the best strategy and I want no part in a game that encourages losing.

You are deluding yourself if you think that Mario Kart Wii doesn't require skill. If what you claim were true, then everyone would have about the same VR. People don't, however, and the highest-rated players consistently beat the lower-rated players. That can only mean one thing: they have skill.

Local multiplayer, you can adjust items so that you don't have this issue.

Online - much playing will make it evident that there are MANY people with high VR rankings [like mentioned above by another poster] who consistently win.

With much of a lead, a blue shell is no issue. Good players can keep their VR scores in the 8000's or higher, even with good competition. You only drop a few spots if you're very good, I know my VR rating has been 7000+ for well over 6 months without fail. [to add: I'm pretty good, but know a few people who regularly blow me out of the water, there's better players than I out there most assuredly]

If things were totally randomized due to the items and skill wasn't important, there's no way this would be the case.

Similarly, when I play at my 10 + 12 year old nephews place, with blue shells and all ... I win every time. They're not bad, but I've got a couple decades of video game experience and more MarioKart experience ... and it becomes obvious quick.

Online, perhaps you drop in standings every now and then, heck even lose once in a blue moon ... but it is an arcade racer, and 9 times out of 10 the best players finish first or second. Frankly, it wouldn't be half as fun [IMO] if you won 100% of the time. It's an arcade racer, after all.

And if you want to play an old version, pretty sure you can get them with VC. I for one am happy with the changes. Is it perfect? I dunno about that, but I don't know of any perfect game.

So true thats why it sucks and no bomb battles. And even in the balloon battles you can't get eliminated.

After so many tries in Rainbow Road I finally came up to 1st place. As I was near the finish line I was hit by a blue shell, struck by lightning and accidentally fell off the road. I finished 10th. :cry:

I never played on Rainbow road again.

Every time I play online, it's a bad experience. Blue Shells are incredibly annoying.
