Tetris is one of the greatest games in history. You should tell your friend that he should stop saying a game is bad just because he isn't good at it. Tetris is a classic, it was successful for every system. It is one of the few DS games that ALL my friends have. We play it so often that my sticker is falling off. It is so fast paced and fun. Although it is quite frustrating if you simply suck at puzzle games. PS don't get meteos, get tetris.
I have it and it's a lot of fun. I play on wifi a lot and it seems that the majority of people who play are japanese. They're really really good at it too.
Great game! Best playability of any tetrises, until you get used to it at least. New ability to pick one piece in memory for later use (which I didn't initially like), is extra nice and adds new strategy element into the game. DS's buttons and d-pad are super sharp. Lots of surprisingly good game modes. But there is one thing I didn't like at all: there is no leaderboard!! This is more than compensated by EXCELLENT multiplayer though.
tetris is a good game but it also just tetris with a few new modes and a mario theme. if you enjoy tetris then by all means get the game but don't expect anything fancy.
