[QUOTE="midisurfmind"]I went to that 3DS UK tour that Nintendo put on. I only used the d-pad for a two round SSF4 match and it seemed pretty good. Slightly low (naturally given you're gonna use the circle pad thing for most games) but it was comfortable and I had no problems using it at all.

im not jealous at all...honestly :P seriously though how was the sweet spot for the 3D. is there much tolerence or do you need to be absolutely spot on? on topic....i tried, using my DSLite, to approximate what using the dpad will be like. moving the hand down a bit should make it comfortable to use. hopefully its a better dpad though. The sweet spot wasn't a particular problem for me, I probably should have tried looking at it from various angles a bit more to check but it didn't occur to me at the time. I was able to hold it at a natural feeling angle though, and I rarely lost the 3D effect, even when using the motion periscope mode on Steel Diver.
As for the dpad/circlepad thing, for games like Street Fighter, I personally think the d-pad is much more suitable than the circle pad based on what I played, but then again for all I know many people might play Street Fighter quite comfortably with thumbsticks...for me though it has to be the d-pad, and as I say, it worked pretty well, and it wasn't troublesome to play despite being lower than usual.
