Wow, GS sure has a lot of Conduit trolls here and you very well know who you are.

Honestly people, what points have you made to prove that The Conduit will be failure. I am not saying that The conduit is awesome but it sure does look promising. This game is for Wii-only owners and people who would want a different online FPS experience. Trolling will not do you any good. Like they always say, if you don't have a positive thing to say, then just keep it to yourself. I agree that people should not hype it or give it credit early, especially since it has not been released. But come on, if this does not hurt, RENT the game (or borrow from a friend), finish the campaign mode and play a couple of online modes and then give a review. You cannot judge a game if it is not finished. It got several positive hands-on previews and only TWO PEOPLE said that it was not fun.

If COD:WAW got an 8.0, I seriously doubt a built from the ground up for Wii title is going to get less than that, especially when their emphasis has been on quality controls.

As for the story complains, like ANYONE who has played the brief demos has gotten far enough into the game to start unraveling much in a story.. pretty stupid to want a climax of a story in the first few chapters:p

I wish they had gone for a different art style, but I respect their hard work in trying to bring photorealism to the Wii.

While this game would not stand out if it were on the other consoles im glad that they chose the Wii to develop it on. I have been waiting for a FPS since the Gamecube days that Nintendo has never had to compete with Halo but this title might just remedy that for Wii owners. Face Wii owners need a game that they can talk about multiplayer like Halo or COD. Looking forward to it!!! (Wireless System Link would of been of plus!)

Its posts like these that start the trolling in the first place. You think this game is going to score a 9+? Maybe if it was a 100 point scale sure but the same way you think people are bashing it for no reason, you are hyping it up for no good reason. Why? What about it makes it a AAA title? Why should people not voice there opinion and instead listen to you when it seems you are just as guilty as they are in terms of doing what you are condemning?

As I already said elsewhere, I'm not part of the bash brigade, but my opinion is we are overhyping a game that looks decent at best and would have quietly slipped under the radar had it been announced on 360 or PS3. Realistically, I'll be surprised if this title will score more than 7. Pleasantly surprised, but still surprised.Black_Knight_00

Might I remind some that pretty much nobody who comes here has played the conduit, (couple exceptions however, but I won't reveal whom). There are too many people who, as Super Paper Mario once stated, "I love going on message boards and complaining about video games I've never played," and then being forced to select true over false, applies. Don't worry about other's opinions for some game, especially if it hasn't even released yet.wiifan001

Who here has played Ninja Bread man, anubuis II, Little King's Story, or Muramasa? You are basically saying that we shouldn't share our opinions on any unreleased game since we haven't played them. This logic is just flawed, I don't need to play them to give a general judgement.

I tried to end all this by creating "Hate on the Conduit" thread, but it only lasted about a half hour, and dropped off the front page.

I figured it would stay right up there because it gave people a place to officially keep on hating it, but none the less.....it doesn't matter.

People around here don't understand what good things are sometimes.

Wow Pices. Seriously? You cannot stand that some people genuinely think this game is going to suck? You need to get it through your head that not everyone has the same opinion as you. Calling anyone whos opinion clashes with yours trolling is childish. Learn to accept and move on. I think this game aint gonna be to good.

Although I think The Conduit looks like a fantastic game, I also think that everyone is entitled to an opinion. You shouldn't get worked up when it clashes with yours.

It seems to me like there are two extremes here, and each side is lumping too many people into the extreme of the opposing view.

There are the fringe groups that think The Conduit looks either absolutely terrible or absolutely amazing, but most of us are somewhere in between. I fell into this trap when the game was first announced. I didn't think it looked like anything special (and still don't), so I assumed that everyone who is looking forward to it must think that it's the end-all-be-all of FPS games, because the most outspoken people were exaggerating the game's apparent greatness as such.

Over time, I've seen that the people who actually think in such extreme terms make up a tiny percentage of the overall pro-Conduit crowd, since most seem to think that it'll just be good enough to be the best FPS on the Wii but not necessarily one of the best FPS games ever. The same is true for people who think it looks terrible. There are graphical problems with the game, but there are also graphical achievements there. The people who say that it looks as good as Galaxy or that it looks like an N64 game are both overlooking something.

But most people aren't going to those extremes, so we can't lump all pro- or anti-Conduit people into the same group as the fringe members of that view.

I agree with what Jordan said. Some people are hyping it up to be the greatest shooter ever as others are saying it is the worst **** ever. I think it is far too soon to judge it. I just think some people are hyping it way too much it looks like a good fps for the Wii but some people praise it like it is going to be INCREDIBLY amazing so it will probably disappoint. Overyhpying is the death of many games. I will most likely buy it at a later time because i am already playing a great online game.

I like the fact that this thread is next to the "too much negativity" thread.:lol:

Personally, I think this game deserves to be bashed not because of it's quality or anything related to that, but because there are too many damn threads about it. It's making me angry that this game exist.
