I'm not a fan of this game yet, but I have to say, I like how much they're putting into the control customization. I wish Metroid had these options (No dead zone FTL).

[QUOTE="movin_target"]Mhmmm, dead zone.Jdog30what is a dead zone? and those menus looked sick! lol  and nice to see all that customization, like running speed, turning speed, In this case a dead zone is a section of the screen in which you can aim without changing your view.
This video makes me wonder if anyone has considered circular or elliptical dead zones, I would think those would be more natural.thriteenthmonke
It would be more natural, yes, but seeing as the screen is square (or, at least, not round), then it makes sense that they did it that way.
A circular option would be cool though.

Yea it would be awesome to be able to change the shape of the dead zone. Banana dead zone FTW!
Im really liking the control customizing after seeing that. Still prayin for splitscreen.
Notice how the video is NOT in HD.

a lot harder to program tho
the square works very easily with the x-axis, and y-axis format
I also think it could be cool if they let you customize the function that controlled the turn rate as you move outwards from the deadzone. You could select from linear, exponential, or logarithmic, and set vertical, or horizontal offsets, and stuff.thriteenthmonke
well linear works fine, exponential would lead to huge turning effects and the sides (and probably make it very hard to control)
and logarithmic just don't make sense since a log graph runs on a y-axis curve
