lol both are arguable to being the best FPS ever. BUT(lol i said BUT) zero zero seven is what made perfect dark.[QUOTE="randomguy15"]Don't worry their is a lot of mature games coming for wii (next year.)MM87Such as?
The one coming out this year is Fatal Frame and next year will be madworld and a mortal kombat. Not to mention your game Conduit.
Call me spoiled cause I've been playing MGS4, but I don't think this game looks all that great. I'm not really impressed with the graphics and I watched one trailer where the blood splatter looked like it was straight out of an N64. It kinda just looks like a Halo rip-off in a city setting honestly.
Now I'm not trying to bash the game. It could actually be very fun and it's pushing the Wii's hardware limits and I respect that. But to say that this could be the Halo for the Wii doesn't really seem very likely to me. I hope the game does well, but there just seems to be a little too much hype behind it...
am i the only one that isn't all that impressed with the Conduit...i mean i can see how people might be hyped because it's a "mature" title, but the graphics aren't that impressive to me, atleast not yet....for example, look at the barrels in the second screenshot, i mean that looks like something that came straight out of the N64 era, just not that impressed yet....of course there's some time left before it releases to change thatjohnnyv2003
You are far from alone, don't worry. Only people who haven't played an FPS since Perfect Dark can see instant awesomeness in it.
It does have a very nice clean look to it, I'm rather excited for the title but remain cautiously optimistic. High Voltage seems to know the hardware well enough and they seem very honest and straightforward from their interviews. I'm kind of hoping these guys can follow in WayForward's footsteps as a long time licensed dev who can make serious efforts on unique IPs. jmangafan

That's kind of what i was thinking when i saw that. The game isn't being released for a while though so maybe they'll make everything a bit easier on the eyes. Hopefully...

Hey when I saw the screenshots for galaxy they looked bad but look how they turned out.

The problem is that, while they release those screens, the devs say things like "yeah, we're achieving some OMFG graphics"... If that's near 360 level for them, I think their carrier will end with The Conduit.
They already claimed they're making The Conduit innovative. One example is the "All Seeing Eye" in which there are objects and stuff that you can't see without it. However, all I see is an item: say the Lens of Truth from Zelda: Ocarina of Time being implemented on a FPS.wiifan001
Watch the debut trailer and you'll see it's a gimmick. Worse, an underused one.
i don't think the graphics hype is even coming from screens or videos of this game. the most impressive graphics from high voltage i've seen are in its video showcasing the power of the engine they created.

if they use this engine to its fullest in the game, it will have great graphics. so far, the conduit dosn't seem to do the engine justice.
Did you watch the trailer? Admittedly its not the best resolution to look for details, but it looks like a clean style to me, I'm not seeing very many muddy textures, HV seems to be using design constraints that fit the system well and still make it look good, I'm well aware that the screenshots look terrible, but screenshots ALWAYS look terrible. But with the clean look, it might have something to do with me replaying TP, a title plagued with some ineffective texture work and bloom lighting out the wazoo.
I'm not saying this game can compete with high end titles like MGS4 or Uncharted, but its got a smart looking clean design that reminds me of both Metroid Prime's and Killzone 1's art styles. Something I'm relatively pleased with. Also, gameplay wise and from a FPS standpoint, it does feel like something toget excited over. I thought we were all tired of WWII shooters YEARS ago, but no, its military EVERYTHING nowadays. There's a good reason why I haven't purchased a FPS made by either Starbreeze, id, or Valve in the past 6 years, and thats because they all SUCK.

ye sthis game looks great ... 2 things thus..
1. It does not have a publisher yet... right?? If that is still true, then i would not get my hopes so high, it could take who knows how long to actually come out...
2. We knew that they were going to try to "convice" N for voice chat.. any updates on that??? rumor?
Thx....
and thx for the links... I ahve not wtach the trailer yet... looks sweet... the wii may get me into FPS a lot more :P

im still giving it a chance...i think they could pull of some interesting things with it.[QUOTE="Wintry_Flutist"][QUOTE="legend26"][QUOTE="Wintry_Flutist"][QUOTE="wiifan001"]They already claimed they're making The Conduit innovative. I'm more interested to see how Call Of Duty: World at War will turn out after playing COD4 on PS3. Since they are porting over the COD4 engine and using the Wiimote, it'll be interesting to see how the final product turns out
As for The Conduit. I'm starting to see it could have potential -- HVS seem's to really like the Wii and are trying, though, I still think the art direction is terrible and generic, I hope it offer's some fun FPS action for Wii owner's.
i like the way they are taking their time with it and so far looks to be a really cool game,
but im skeptical about the story,im just worried and not really hyped with the story, though i dont have a ps3,it seems to have a really similar plot if you know what resistance fall of man is,to me it seems like the alien taking over the planet has been done way too much

lol, So all it is, really, is their equivalent to the X-ray visor that was in Metroid Prime.
