Mind elaborating?
Â
If you're talking now or soon then the devs would slaughter everything thats good about the franchise gave it some mediocre controls and made the graphics horrendous. Maybe in like a year or two when the devs, especially third-party devs, show they are competent enough to make nice looking Wii games or at least make better use of the controls and not just ported it and gave controls that barely functioned then it might be a good game but as of now it would absolutely ruin the series.Â

Mind going into more detail?

Actually I'm not even sure if a game as long as Elder Scrolls games can even be played well on the Wii. It would have to have near perfect controls for such a long game and right now 3rd party devs aren't proving to us that they can come close to the tighness in controls needed for a type of game like this to work. Â
id think itd be nice to see elder scrolls with motion controls, but half the games appeal is in the graphics, and the wii just cant compete there. I would like to see however more rpgs announced for the wii. also, i think i read somewhere bethesda was considering porting it over to wii, when they decided to port it to PS3, but due to hardware restrictions, it was not possible. they did go on to say tho, that they may take another serious look into it in the future. ill try to find the interview later.
To um the guy that says it would ruin the series
They wouldnt have to downgrade its graphics its a earlier version like III in fact they could possibly increase it a little
And if they perfrected the controls it can surpass the the the PC and Xbox version
Plus he didnt say which version
Neither did he say port or orginal
Also they can make an orginal Elder Scrolls as a Wii exclusive but thats just me dreaming....
in order to make it lengthy enough, bc it is just a wii, not a ps3, it could be multi-disc, which rarely happens nowadays...
but totally!
Morrowind graphics or even better would definitely be possible on the Wii. And that would be great in my book. I would love for Bethesda to make an Elder Scrolls game on the Wii. They could either port Morrowind with new Wii controls, or they could make an original game. Either way I would love it.jbrittainYea, the Wii is technically capable of producing visuals superior to Morrowind. Also, look at Fable's visuals. They're amazing - and, the Wii is capable of better. Those things make me realize how lazy devs have been as of late.
Does the WII use standard DVD's or do they have their own game disc format? I was never really clear on that. If so is it the standard 4.7 or is dual layer possible.
Â
They could make a fairly expansive game with that kind of capacity.
Â
The Wiimote = mouse + pointer tool. If 3rd party companies learned that, the 360 shooter line would fall, imagine an exclusive action RPG. THe WII has all it needs to make games that surpass both of those systems if people would learn to use the system right
Elder Scrolls really isn't ready yet, the whole 3rd party industry has way too much to learn about this system. The chances of a game like that being done right this early in a concosles life that is this radically different is about like wishing for democracy in the middle east by Christmas...

Well just look at God of War 2 and thats on the PS2. That system was dated the day it was released and it's capable of producing some pretty incredible graphics still. The WII is more then capable of producing graphically stunning games, doubt it all you want to something stunning is comming for that system!dont know if it would be ,, good ... the graphics would have to be amazing to compete with the 360 and ps3's ... i donno prolly not
No, it would ruin the series.Duckman5How could it ruin it?
The controls would be perfect. The sword movements in game are repetitive like those of red steel, horizontal and vertical slices, so the swinging would match the original game and the nunchuck would work well with magic
I don't see this ever happening though I'd love it too. Though it would give me one less reason to buy a 360 since I'd rather play this on the Wii.
I mean if they can put it on the Xbox and the PSP the Wii can MORE than handle it.

Read my 2 posts after that and I think I made a pretty sound arguement that it would at least need to be released in a year or two.

Maybe... as long as you promise to stop saying "N E". It's any. One more letter won't kill you.
lol... hes lazyhere's my two cents.
I think it would be great to have an original Elder Scrolls just for the Wii. I think the graphics will be awesome, but I am not sure if it is capable of it just yet. There are people that would say "Wii graphic sucks", or "The graphic hardware is just low". While other people will say, "The Wii graphic is not using to the full of it's capability."
So, as much as I would like the graphics to look great...I much rather wait for it to come out the be in awe in the grahics.
Secondly, I think they SHOULD have Classic controller capability. Some people aren't good with the slashing, and stabbing. The Classic controller has more buttons, so it should be able to do the same. The only thing that turns me off is if the game is very sentistive to timing or sensor bar has a bit of a lag. I haven't played Smash Bros Melee (yes go ahead and laugh), and heard that the controls are very time sentistive to trigger buttons, and it may affect SSBBrawl Maybe there will be a learning curve? Who knows.
I think it would be cool to see it on the Wii regardless.Â
heck no.. I love my wii as the next guy.. but hell no.
Elder scrolls is absurdly big and the graphics are top notch, it requires lots of space and a great, fast graphic engine with good AI's and NPC's. Wii's cant handle that and if it tries it would be.. ughh.. red steel..
the wii would be the most powerful system elder scrolls was on. If it gets as good as the xbox version that would be plentyheck no.. I love my wii as the next guy.. but hell no.

I'm telling you.. RED STEEL..
Nintendo shouldn't even try it, the wii only plays on 480p and it's graphics are on par with ps2 -_-'.. or gamecube..
That would be awesome, but lofty.
The pure size of the game would work too its full extent on the Wii.
