The first REAL review fo The Conduit is in?

Remember that fake Nintendo Power review for The Conduit? We warned you about it, just incase you came across it while traveling the web. By the end of that day, the faker had been revealed, and his motives behind the punk were revealed.

It's for that reason that I was a tad bit skeptical of yet another review for The Conduit that has popped up. From what I can tell, this one is indeed the real deal, and it's once again from Nintendo Power. After mulling it over, I'm going to run with this one.

I will not be posting/linking the full review here. Future Publishing got in touch with me earlier this week to have me remove the Capcom Vs. Tatsunoko picture that confirmed localization of the game. It turns out that the issue hadn't even gotten to subscribers yet...someone snapped the pic at the distribution warehouse. I don't know if the latest issue of Nintendo Power has actually made it to subscribers yet, but I'm not going to chance it.

Anyway 8.0-9.0 is what I am expecting.

I think it'll get higher than an 8.0. That could be real but an amateur could photoshop that no problem.

If it makes you feel any better, IGN's likely to give this game AT LEAST a 9, regardless. :P

Anyway, that pic certainly looks close enough to a NP review setup, so it's not terribly hard to believe. I'll still look forward to what the review has to say about the game, but I think I can accept this for what it is.

This game is not expected to get perfect scores. The game has tons of replay value, lots of polish, visual fidelity, and a genre we rarely see on Wii.

~70% average score after one month, I'd predict.

i'm totally hyped for the multiplayer as NP calls it platform defining

13 modes, bounty hunter and such sound great

i'm so happy to finnally see an original FPS built for Wii, only Wii, with a great online component, lots of modes, maps, Voice Chat, unprecedented customization of controls, for the Wii. Its taken 2 and a half years but we finally got a good online Wii FPS it seems that is originally intended for the Wii

(BTW conduit's game modes make WAW and MOHH2 look meh)

Outstanding visuals, highly customizable control scheme, online play with voice chat, more game modes than just the 3 very basic ones.

The only thing that it did not do for me is being able to run at 60 fps, it will be at 30 fps but hopefully it stays constant throughout so you won't notice.

I forsee this thread being locked because it is discussing the Conduit. Though I never really check that thread anymore anyways, at least not until its release so that I am fully able to back up what I am saying from actually playing the game.

I'm not surprised if it is real; I've never understood the hype that this game is getting. I'd predict a metascore of 7.5 at best.

Not everyone is going to have the same opinion as you do - so seeing a score that doesn't match what you think it should score shouldn't surprise you.

I want to see HVS make an open world sand box game on Wii with their engine. No it should not rival GTA, but have its own interesting twist.

8.0 is pretty good but i doubt its a real review. nintendo power is too biased to give the conduit a score lower than 8.5 at least. and after everyone that played the game said it is for real, i dont buy this review, and i am open to the fact that this my just be a real review so i'll reserve judgement until i play the game.DaCool2008

How do people know it will get 9-10??? Have you actually PLAYED the game? It gould be garbage, or it could be great. Lets wait and see, can wait for my new NP issue.

It's probably fake. For one thing, if someone was going to scan the magazine page for real, they wouldn't just post the part with the score. Plus, the game doesn't come out for a month.Tikicobra
