What do think will be the state of shovelware on the 3DS? The cheapest and most popular system always had shovelware and the 3DS is no different with a Martha Stewart game and a bunch of THQ games coming out.

There are about 5000 DS games and most of those are shovelware titles. But how different do you think it will be for the 3DS?

Who cares. It's not like shovelware takes anything away from the good games. Although personally I'm not sure how employees of shovelware developers sleep at night. If you're going to go to the effort of creating something, why not use your brain a little?

High development cost? There is no such thing when it comes to shovelware, that's why its shovelware. It has always been around and it will always be around, nothing will make it go away.

lol the seal of quality never had anything to do with quality, you think if it did that all those crappy games on the NES would have had the seal? It simply indicated that the game was legit and was licensed to work on the NES.

Shovelware is not worth mentioning anywhere on GS. It nobody plays it and people just use it to troll. And there will be a ton on the 3DS as well.

I don't care. Shovelware is just bad, but it doesn't affect good games.

ignore shovelware. it won't go away, it'll probably be the same stuff they had on the DS, only with a "now in 3D!" sticker on the box.

You know how Zelda Wii was called Zelda Wii before it was called Skyward Sword? Things like Mario 3DS are likely just place holders. Also Bruno wasn't talking about names, he is just saying shovelware developers will keep making shovelware on the 3DS, just in 3D.

With 3D, shovelware developers have endless possibility for cheap gimmicks and to promise amazing things on the case to get unsuspecting consumers to buy their crap. So, the problem will only grow.

The long and the short if it is this, for every good game for a system, there are 10 or more cruddy games.

Also remember Super, and Advance, and DS. Nintendo always ends up putting the systems names in their titles.

Super Metroid, Star Fox 64, Advance Wars, Mario Kart DS, Famicom Wars, NES Golf, Mario Kart Wii. Nintendo always includes the systems name except for the GCN I guess it would be hard to fit Gamecube into any title.

Well they have done it many times, but it mostly applies to games without stories. Zelda wasn't Zelda 64, Metroid has subtitles even as the Mario games attempted stories and theme's, they got full names instead of console names.

Just don't play it, nobody's forcing you to play shovelware.
