The Hardcore Gamer and the Wii ... such a lonely time ...

Seems like all the games coming out for Wii are for casual gamers/people who don't normally play video games.  Hell, after Red Steel, Call of Duty 3, and Far Cry Vengenace ... it seems FPS on the Wii have almost dissappeared.  Despite all the "developer support" the system has garnered, it seems like the 3rd party games are either low quality ports, original pure crap, or games catering to the casual crowd.  Man cannot survive on Nintendo alone, people.

 Speaking of this subject -- I hear Nintendo plans on putting Batallion Wars 2 up against Halo 3 on release week.  Think it has a chance in Hell?

Maybe there arn't many now but don't forget this is a new conceptand so it may take a while for developers to realise the Wii's full potential for "hardcore" gamers games, Metroid isn't a million miles away and you have project hammer and disaster day of crisis to look forward to.

Since when did we all fall into categories ... hardcore, softcore, casual, etc.... sounds like a porno.

Point being it seems at least to me that the Wii has/will have games for people of all genres.

Gawd I hate the new generation of "Gamers" which first game was Halo or Final Fantasy 7, only thing they say : "Halo invented first person shooters!" and "I don't know the story but Sephiroth's uber pwnage". You a hardcore gamer? how about you beat Super Monkey Ball without falling once! or play Ninja Gaiden.

Oh and 1 month before Halo 3, Metroid Prime 3 is coming out and soon after Super Smash Bros Brawl. Top that. I pity you. By christmas, oh wells, Super Mario Galaxy.

Other than GTA IV, no other game has a chance in hell against Halo 3. 

Well, I'd say within the first year of any console's release, you're going to have to expect dry spells. The Wii just happens to be in one right now.

If you're really hardcore, you probably own another console- surely there's a game for that system, no? And if you're kind of casual like me, then you'll find something else to do in the meantime.

I've been playing my Wii on occasion, but only due to the fact that im busy with school. but whenever i get the chance, im playing the Wii.

its got many 'hardcore' games coming out for the 'hardcore' fan.

Metroid, Brawl, SMG are the big 3. No More Heroes, Manhunt 2, BWii, Strikers, FF CC: CB, Guitar Hero 3, RE4:Wii Edition, RE:UC, Etc.

theirs tons of content for the console coming in 2007 alone. Quit your whining.
