The legends of zelda - the phantom hourglass - the sun door

when i 1st went to the sun door, i touched it and it said to transferr the symbol onto your southwest map. so i did. so i went and got the sun key at the bottom on the oceon and i came back, happy because i was going to the the 3rd spirit. but when i got to thw door, it said, to transferr the symbol again, so i was like, what symbol, ive done that already, but i tried it again and it didnt work. so how can i open the sun door????????? i have the key an everything

u have to go to that island on the left side of the southwestern sea-chart and go into that cavestewpidduh

Ummm... That's where the sun door is. All I can think of is some glitch. Do you have the original DS? Cause I heard that somtimes the game glitches when played on the old one.

I played it on an original DS and I had no problems. Mabie its something else?
