The make up your own mario kart item thread.

Just for funz.

Let's hear your ideas for new items that you would like to see in future mario karts. I think we can all admit the new items in MKwii are kind of a dud. So here's your chance to be creative.

I'll start with a couple ideas.

- Lakitu: Picks you up and drops you at 1st place. Remember though, when he drops you you have to re-accelerate, so who's ever in 1st, 2nd, and maybe even 3rd are going going to fly by you at top speed.

- Spiky shell: Place on the course as a trap. If someone runs over it, they get a flat. They can't drive as strait and move a bit slower. After a bit, their tire re-inflates.

i hate items as it is,

but i'd enjoy an item that kills those damn blue shells.

we already have too many "lucky to get" items that can be used to screw with others...

i hate winning an online match, only to be destroyed by blue shells, red shells, bullets, bombs, etc.

Name: Item Killer

Function: Removes all item blocks from the game. You can use whatever one you have on you now but no more after that meaning I don't have to get massively owned by every single other player and their god items taking me from first to last 3 seconds from the finish line like I do every single race now.

Poison Mushroom:

A trap best set after a ligtning strike. It can cause a variety of random effects including shrinking, spin outs, and item drops.

Warp Pipe- similar to a bullet bill, but you have the possibility of oing backwards in placement, and you just sorta appear there, nobpdy gets hurt

Boo- turns you invisible and steals items ( i know its been done but that was a good item)

Robo koopa (those things from Super mario world, in the last castle, i odnt know there real name )- throw them like any thing, but they walk around the track and flip you over

The Item Data Eraser

It erases all items from the game completely so the game has you relying only on your driving skills now.

I had thought of one very similar to that. It was inspired by the poison in bomberman.

Poison Mushroom - As soon as you get it, it activates. You get a random curse:

- Go really slow

- Go uncontrollably fast

- Turn invisible (I mean real invisible, so the player can't see their own kart)

- Shrink

- No power sliding

- and more...

But, if you bump into someone, you pass the curse to them. Now it's their problem, not yours

i tihnk it would be better if it got passed, but you didnt lose it, like in bomberman, that way you still get messed up, but at least you can take others out with you

a black shell

if you pick it up and shoot it the next guy ahead will go under constant attack untill the end of the race

and you get tournament points doing it 2 pt. for shooting and 5 for making it hit someone

if your in the lead and you shoot it it takes your tournament points and hits you

they dont need to invent new ones, they just need to fix and balance all the ones that exist already. you should be able to dodge every single item in the game by doing something that takes a lot of skill, like hopping at the right moment or like drifting in a circle around it or something. mario kart only sucks because people that suck get all the good items and it makes all the people in first go to last in like 4 seconds so there has to be item counters so if you deserve to be in 1st place youll stay there no matter what the item is

A snowball that rolls straight ahead of you. If it hits a wall it will break apart and disappear, but if it doesn't it will keep rolling, getting bigger as it goes. If it hits someone, they will get trapped within it until it hits a wall or goes off a cliff.AdRock92

Ooh! Me Likey! On courses like Peach Gardens with a long straight before the fimal turn, it could be the ultimate "Screw all of you'ses" item.

Chain Chomp: Similar to a Bullet Bill, but you turn into a rolling Chain Chomp. You become very fast but hard to control.NALDOxCORE

Duble Dash had somethig exactly like that.

Some thing that makes you invisible

How about this:

Mini Mushroom

Makes you so small and fast, that you can go under the other vehicles!:P

Poison Mushroom

It does one of these curses:

-get shrunk

-get quashed

-confusion (directions are reversed)

-fall through the floor

-ink from a blooper appears on your screen

-everybody execpt you turns giant

-everyone is max speed execpt you

-you drop into 12th place

blue shell killer

it kills blue shells that are coming towards you.
