...I don't want stereoscopic 3D out of it that much, especially if it gets crushed flat any time I need to aim in first-person...NamelessPlayerDid you play RE: Mercs 3D? That one game proved first person shooting in 3D doesn't work properly. Besides- when you shoot, don't you close one eye to aim down the sights? The only thing I found worth complaining about regarding the 3D shifting was that once you get the eyepatch, crawling in confined spaces was still in 3D.

Probably depends on the sight in question; iron sights don't work that way too well. Regardless, it seemed like something I would have expected them to make an option instead of required. As for RE: Mercs 3D, I haven't even played it. Not a game that interests me at all. I think first-person shooting in stereoscopic 3D can work, but it helps a lot if you have a laser sight...wait a minute. It's the 1960s. No gun is going to have those. (Also, there's probably a good reason for NVIDIA having a special crosshair option in the 3D Vision settings, on the PC gaming side of things.) And now that I remember that little detail in the plot, that is a potentially immersive touch they forgot to add, but I guess they thought people would complain if they couldn't have depth perception in first-person view anymore.

Yeah, RE: Mercs was bad BAD. I figured it was more along the lines of keeping the complaints down in the case of the post-eyepatch 3D- especially considering they blurred the right side of the screen from that point on.
