If someone asked me what makes a game worth buying the first thing that I would tell them is how many times would I play it. This is why I always rate sports games (where you beat it but can still keep playing) and games with online capabilities higher. I am curious to what the community considers to be the most replayable virtual consule game.

Out of my collection, I would have to say Mario 64 and punchout. Mario 64 is a long game and given a few months away from it, you could probably start to replay it. Punchout is a classic and will never get old. Star Fox 64 was fun the first couple times I played it but due to it being fairly short in game length and fairly easy to beat I wish I would have saved my $10 for something more substantial.

I would imagine that the following games could be considered:

LoZ: OoT (I beat this when I was a kid, it took forever)

Paper Mario? never played it

SMB3

SMW snes

Tecmo Bowl (this game never gets old, but still wish i had super tecmo bowl)

Let me know what you have bought and if it was worth the buck.

Yeah, SMB3 is uber replayable. I wanted to try Paper Mario but was unsure if I would want to play it through at least twice. I will probably just save my money for SM RPG: legend of the 7 stars.

SMB3 is the best value on the VC. Possibly the best platformer ever made (certainly among the best), infinitely replayable, and it costs $5. Just absurd.
