The New Zelda game... will Link actually talk??

Hey everyone,

Being a long time fan of the series, pretty much since the NES days, I was just wondering if Link, will actually talk in this one.. what do you guys think? I always wanted him to actually say something instead of him sounding like he is having sex everytime he swings the sword...

I hope not. I think Nintendo went in the right direction by not making Link talk, thus allowing the player to fill in his own thoughts. That makes you the character, and it really has worked since OoT and past that. 8)

Personally I don't think they will ever give Link a voice. Even if Zelda gets full voice acting Link will continue to be silent.

I highly, HIGHLY doubt it. The chances of other characters having a "voice" would be possible and I would be all for it. But Link should stay silent. By the way, this topic has been created like a BILLION times.... >.>

I think it's better to actually read the text then then to have it said for you. I still would hate it though if Link had any lines at all.

Think about how many people's brain would rot. ( I played the game ever since I can remember, and I know I learned to spell a lot of words I didn't know. ) (Mind you I was in grade one or two. )

I'm not saying all games with voice acting are bad, but another great game with terrible voice acting,, ... :? Not like it will ever happen. I did like the sounds Midna made when she talked, It sort of fitted her.

I think with he was it would have been clear in the demo or trailer at E3 so I guess he's not which is so great.

I hope some NPC's get voices.

Link should not talk, zelda and gandondorf i don't mind if they do talk or if they dont talk.

Everyone else should have voices.

i dont want link to speak. Maybe the other NPCs but not link. LoZ games have always done a great job at telling the story though gameplay, y ruin that. Samus doesnt speak in Prime games, and it adds to the atmosphere, who is she going to talk to? Link is the same da_chub

Link has always been the silent hero, and I certainly hope that won't change anytime soon. It would just be too weird. Giving him a voice might give him a completely new personality. He could be cocky, moody or a complete go getter, it depends on what voice they would use.

A little bit off topic, but this is the reason I don't want them to EVER remake Final Fantasy VII, I don't trust them not to put voices into it, and it would just be so wrong.

I think it'd be better if he didn't.

Dont get me wrong, I love the game, I just believe that Zelda, being a huge series, that majority of the staff will make sure the game is damn high quality especially for Link.

Also, I know I am suppose to be link, but dammit, I want a damn voice! I am not saying that throughout the entire game let him talk, just in video parts if there are any, yah know?

If he was going to talk, Nintendo would have already shown that, so I do not think it will happen.
