Get all the Gamecube classics while they're still in stores, we don't know how long they're still going to be avaliable in stock. The Wii games are going to be around for a while so there's no real rush to go out and buy them. If you've never had a Gamecube, you're also going to need a memory card and a controller or two. As for Gameubce Games, I reccomend

-Wind Waker (You can also get Twilight Princess if you don't want the Wii version)

-Tales of Symphonia

-Metroid Prime 1 and/or 2

-Viewtiful Joe

-Paper Mario

-Killer 7

There are probably alot more games you should check out.

Well it depends on what games you want.

RPGS- Skies of Arcadia (Still plays great great but will look dated) and Tales of Symphonia (Must have) Paper Mario: The thousand year door (Must have)

Action/Adventure- The Legend of Zelda; Wind Waker (Must have) Resident Evil 4 (Just get the Wii version) Custom Robo (Good fun, but not much replayability)

Racing- Kirby's Air Ride (Really fun, and takes forever to completely finish) Mariokart Double Dash (Don't own it but I hear nothing but good about it)

Shooters- Geist (Pretty good, fun mutli-player, and a decently long story) RE4 Battalion Wars (Incredibly underrated game, gets difficult at the end)

Strategy- Fire Emblem (Possibly one of the greatest GC games out there. High replayability) Battalion Wars

Those are a few of my favorite GC games, of course Melee would be in there but you said you didn't want it.

Strikers is a great game, and is definately NOT easy to beat. It gets frustratingly hard as you progress in the Strykers Cup. Online and Offline multiplayer are both great.

If you like RPGs get Baten Kaitos Eternal Wings and the Lost Ocean and Baten Kaitos Origins, both cant take 40+ hours and have great stories and really fun gameplay with lots of depth and customizatoin. All the others mentioned so far are great games too. If youre interested in the future Wii title No More Heroes, pick up their GC title Kilelr 7, very different, but really great voice acting, music and atmosphere.
