Wait, you expect them to just polish up a Gamecube game?
That's the credit you're giving them?
I mean I'm hard on them but I'm not THAT hard
Jaysonguy
Well thats what they did for Metriod Prime 3 and it turned out OK... Why would they start from scratch if they're keeping the same overall look?Metroid was released not even a year after launch.
On the other hand Zelda Twilight Princess was done in 2005 and had to wait almost a year to meet up with the Wii's launch
They've had half a decade now to build a better engine that takes advantage of the Wii's hardware
If it was just a touched up Gamecube game it would be viewed as not only a disappointment but also a very lazy effort on Nintendo's part
I highly doubt that they'll do that
in terms of technology...... compare Super Mario Galaxy to Sunshine.
Yes, Galaxy looks better.... but it wasn't like it was such a huge jump like PS2-PS3. It's a damn good looking Wii title, but it's a completely different atmosphere (oh yes, I went there), mood, effects (lighting, etc), etc. that made it look better.
You know as well as I do Jayson, it wasn't that big of a leap.
Zelda Wii will be Nintendo's best looking title for the system, but it's not going to be taking the series to new heights in terms of graphics. It's just not possible for it look waaaaayyyyyy, better.
