My sister had hers for about a year already and I thought that it was sort of dumb.... Then i finnaly played some of her games and I fell in love with it also. I just bought one for myself today with FFXII:RW and I was wondering the same thing, why didn't I buy it a LONNGGGG time ago. :D
Yeah, people have a bad first impression of it after seeing that some of the most popular games are Cooking Mama and those Brain Training stuff. However, once they give it a try and see that there are some really great games like FFXII: RW, Trauma Center, Sonic Rush, Phoenix Wright, etc. then their opinion changes. My sister had hers for about a year already and I thought that it was sort of dumb.... Exactly, my sister had games like Nintendogs and Animal Crossing which didn't seem like my type of games. But I grew to like Animal Crossing.
I've played Trauma Center and I love it. :D

Actually, Brain Training games seem to be declining in popularity, seeing as Brain Age 2 seemed to sell pretty poorly compared to the original. Phoenix Wright has never been a great seller, but it is a fantastic game! I love my DS as well, and I'd recommend it to anyone! :PMy sister had hers for about a year already and I thought that it was sort of dumb....
