This is the thread to say how great the great professor is and tell your spoiler free favorite moment of the series.

My favorite part is Layton's personality, he's so innocent and gentlmeny. It's a great break from the characters in most other games of today

I absolutely love this series, my favorite moments are definitely when I have a tough puzzle, then it comes to me in my head, I enter the answer, and whenever it says right I throw my arms in the air and sing. :P

Ijust love all the characters as well.

It really is one of my favorite series of the last several years. It's just so relaxing to play and as stated Layton is far different than most in game charecters. I have the new game sitting on my shelf waiting for the second game to be completed.

Well, I guess my favorite moment was when he solved the mystery of the first game and found the golden apple. :)

But everything about that game was just so endearing.

Love Prof. Layton. The puzzles and the characters are adorable. I was glad that the voices weren't irritating for me or anything, they were pretty great too.

I'm enjoying the 3rd game so much I changed my avatar to reflect that.

Layton is just so good! :D

And as for favorite moment plot wise, definitely the end of the 1st game for me, I loved how:
Don Paolo had that awesome flying machine and the way it opened up those spike balls just looked so cool, and I loved how in all the terror and action Layton remained calm and always helped Flora to move along.

But the best part was seeing Layton use all those normal household items you find in most rich rooms and see no use for to make a flying machine he used to float down and dodge and destroy Don Paolo's machine. That was so amazing, and had my jaw on the floor.
I love the games! They're great to play with friends and probably the most likely game to get away with playing during class.

I'm so looking forward to getting Unwound Future. Layton, Legal, and Luke? All in one game? COUNT ME IN!

I just need the money to buy it now. n_n;

Great games but I couldn't get all the puzzles on my own. Lame. In the second game the whole tea thing was really cute I thought. The games themselves have a really neat look to them, good amount of mystery, just nice to play. And they kept me hooked. Can't wait til the next game.

I just love the whole premise of it. The Professor and the young boy off to solve mysteries with their intellect and general good nature. It's kind of hard to explain, but the Layton games make me feel cozy and nice :) The tea, the nice characters, the massive amount of puzzles... It's just so comforting.

Does anybody else think that the ending scene of the Unwound Future is really touching?
The ending as a whole didn't strike me as much as the ones from Curious Village and Diabolical Box did since I figured out almost everything by myself this time while in the previous games the endings were really surprising but the one scene of talking with Claire just kicked my balls. It really introduced the heck of a melancholical mood and made me look at the screen pointlessly during all the credits listening to the absolutely GREAT credits-music. Undisputedly the most moving scene in the games lately and I'd even risk that it's one of the most touching scenes I've ever had a pleasure seeing in the video games. Agree?
I definitely agree with you there. The scene you referred to in the spoiler actually got me a teary eyed, it was so touching and the writing for that scene was so well done.

Beautiful ending to this beautiful trilogy.

yes, but the games are broken into trilogies. Unwound future completes the first trilogy. The next 3 games in the series are a seperate trilogy, taking place 3 years before the events of curious village, and detailing the beginning of luke and layton's adventures.

Yeah, the ending of TDB was great (IMO when we're talking about the overall ending, it was better than the one UF since it was way less predictable) but definitely not as moving as the spoiler scene. These endings are both great though every in its another way :)
