Where from and how much?

I moaned and complained about the EU price, then went and pre-ordered.

Amazon.co.uk £225.50 Ship date 24th March (so it will arrive 25th)

I want the black 3DS

I pre ordered the day after Christmas so I'm good to go.

You'll probably wait forever. Nintendo portables don't drop prices, actually all portables, same thing with the PSP, no price drops. They usually release more expensive versions of the system. There wasn't a price drop for the DS systems after the DS lite came out until last year.

Generally this console generation has had a lack of price drops. The Wii dropped it's price after 3 years. The 360 hasn't dropped it's priced in 2 years. The PS3 hasn't dropped it's price since the slim was released. Instead they usually just add a larger harddrive or add wii motion plus.

A Gamestop here in Cali about a month ago and I put down around 50$

I pre-ordered about a month ago at Gamestop. Hoping I can get Cosmo Black. It looks really good. Still owe $200, but it's over two months away. I've got time.

I'll wait until I hear complaints about the 3D or anything. Then hopefully a new and improved model comes out for a cheaper price.

Also gotta wait before the good games come out.

Pre-Order Black One from GameStop, the same store I picked up my Wii at launch over 4 years ago. Didn't pre order any 3DS games, but hoping Splinter Cell, Street Fighter, DOA make it out, but maybe I'll get PilotWings

But I pre-Ordered Pokemon Black, i'm going to pick it up the 6th and not open it until after I get my 3DS (also doesn't Okamiden come out in March?)

Preordered mine at amazon. I had a 15 dollar credit from a previous purchase so I went for the 1 day shipping and still saved about $5. I choose the blue cause it's my favorite color.

At Gamestop, I put $100 up front. My only worry is that they didn't ask me what color I wanted. This was of course before they announced what colors were going to be available at launch. Do you guys think I can go to Gamestop and tell them I want a certain color before launch?

I plan on ordering mine at Gamestop come Sunday. Going to put the minimum fifty dollars down on Aqua Blue. Will pay off the balance when I get my tax refund check. Will be picking up Dead Or Alive Dimensions at launch (Gamestop has its release listed at March 15th?) and since Kid Icarus Uprising might not be available I might grab the new Pilotwings instead. Those two games and Pokemon White should keep me occupied for a while.

pre-ordered with Amazon as they don't take the money until the item ships, Aqua Blue for me, Estimated Shipping March 30, i can wait a few days since its free shipping.

Gamecube: $200 to $150 to $100 all in the span of 3 years. Consoles used to have a price drop yearly until the price reaches $100 until this generation. It seems the new $100 is $200.

Yeah, it seems like the Gamestop preorders are defaulting to black for whatever reason. I paid off my 3DS yesterday and had them switch it to the blue one.

Preordered on the 19th, I didn't know which color to choose. My DSLite is black and my DSiXL blue. I ended up choosing Cosmo black.

I pre-ordered mine at shop-to.net on the 19th of jan. Don't know what game/s I want yet maybe street fighter or monkey ball or pilotwings???? lol :)

Pre-orders in Japan sold out in 1 day.

It has been number 1 on Amazon since pre-orders started....

I'd say without a pre-order your only chance to get one is to camp outside a store, or pay $500+ on Ebay.

I officially preordered mine today. I decided to go with Cosmo Black instead of Aqua Blue though because I have a suspicion that the light blue color would pull my eye off of the 3D effect. With the low 2.5 million worldwide launch shipping number I was adamant about preordering. The fellow at Gamestop said it was a good idea as well. I guess we will see in a couple of months. Would rather be safe than sorry though.

Probably not going to pre-order. Yeah Im one of the stupid ones that run the risk of showing up at the store and finding that the 3DS has sold out.

I preorder mine. I am not going to make the same mistake I did with the wii and not preorder it and hope to get one but don't for 4 months after because it is sold out everywhere.

Two months seems too far away. Thankfully Pokemon B&W will cut that time in half for me.

Pre ordered and already paid for mine from ShopTo.Net (UK) for £200. Getting the aqua blue version. Not liking the look of anything in the launch line up (bar possibly Splinter Cell if it has co op) so I might just be playing my DS games on it for a while...
