See now they could up the filesize limit with the New SD card system and we could get that on Wii.

True, but the only problem I'm sure most companies see with that is, if they allowed the entire game to be downloaded straight to the SD card, most people would just copy it from other people instead of buying their own copy meaning they'd lose alot of money.

That isnt a problem. All games can be copied to SD cards, this was the case before the update. The problem is that the game may simply be too big. Not to download straight to SD, necessarily, but remember that VC and WiiWare games are then copied to the Wii's internal memory before it can be played. The came could fit on an SD card, sure. But not on the Wii itself.

Quite clearly big enough to not fit on WiiWare. Its a DC game, after all.

Yeeeeeeah... I believe the limit for any WiiWare game is 48MB, and while I may not be the most tech-savvy person in the world, I do think that the entire Marvel vs. Capcom 2 game would be larger than that. Not only do you consider that, but the purpose of WiiWare is for new games to begin with, not ports of Arcade titles. MvC2 wouldn't even fit Nintendo's Virtual Console lineup, much less the WiiWare one. And THEN there's the fact that the game itself is probably too large for the system's internal memory.

Nope, I didn't see this one [not] coming. :P

Well, considering I've looked at the ISOs of this game out there (and owning the PS2 version), it's about 700 MB. I believe the Wii's internal storage space is 512 mb? This game would seriously eat up SD card space, but whatever.

Apparently it's bigger than 40MB, which is the limit for WiiWare games.

Nintendo should up the memory limit. The memory SD card update gives way more flexibility.
