Hey people, I think you can only do this in Europe, but good ol' Ninty have set up a site where you can swap those (fairly useless) Star Points you get from registering Nintendo Products on their website for Wii Points to use in the Wii Shop, so essentially you can get free VC games for buying games for your DS and Wii. The exchange rate is 4 Stars = 1 Point, and you can get online codes for 100 Points, 300 Points, 500 Points and 1000 Points with a limited number of "cards" up for grabs. I only discovered this a couple of days ago but the site doesn't seem to be updating, does anyone know when (or even if) it updates? I have a good 5000 Star Points just sitting around and there's a plethora of good VC games I haven't bought. Some stuff from google suggests that the site may not have been updated since December 07 but I wanted to check with the good people on the Wii Forums :)

It's curious that they would 'run out' of online vouchers - you get a code online that you plug into the Wii Shop just like a normal Wii Points card, but I suppose if they had an unlimited amount of these 'cards' then no one would buy desktop wallpapers and ringtones with their Star Points :P

Thanks in advance for any help or replies given :)

If you check every 10 or so minutes they seem to randomly update it so if you keep checking eventually they'll have some, I checked this morning and they had all the cards available except the 1000 points one, but now I've checked and they are all gone again.

It only works in Europe, because there aren't any such thing as star points on the American Nintendo website.

One of the perks of living in Europe I suppose :) I've tried refreshing it now and again but there doesn't seem to be much change (I have been doing other things don't think I'm just sat here clicking refresh lol) perhaps it updates every morning? I'll try again later too

They've just got 200 of the 100 Points cards, that's better than nothing I suppose, but I'll wait for the 500 or 1000 I think :) If anyone needs 100 points to get another VC game they should check the site out soon :D
