Do you think there should be a super mario bros. 4? Should it be 8-bit like mega man 9 or next gen grpahics? Also tell me if u heard of any super mario bros. 4 and give ur thoughts.

New Super Mario BrosSonicBalla

I guess this is Super Mario Bros. 4, but I was hoping when they announced it that it would have been more along the lines of Super Mario Bros. 3. Bringing back Bowser's kids, huge worlds, raccoon suits, etc. :)

yes, and make it a VC title, similar to the new Mega Man. if they included a level editor, it could be the best Mario of all time.

So, you're living in a world where Super Mario World and New Super Mario Bros. "don't count" as Mario Bros. games? What a sad sad place. Besides, New Super Mario is more Mario than Mario Bros. 2 will ever be. Let's see how many times I can write the name Mario in a single post.....Mario!

You know what Super Mario World is called in Japan?

Super Mario Bros. 4. ;) That was also its US name until it was renamed before its release. So yeah... if they released a Super Mario Bros. 4, Nintendo would be making the same mistake that Square did in the SNES days with the game numbering.

If they made a new super mario brothers it would have to be 2-D with a level editior and a way to share them online. some 2 player slpit screen multoplayer to see who can race thru the level fastest or and score the most points. and nintendo could make new levels that u pay to purchase

I don't want it to be too much like super mario bros 3. To be honest, it's my least favorite mario game. I downloaded it for the VC and just was not feelin' it. Something more along the lines of Super Mario World would be better, I think.

Oh, and New Super Mario bros is a fantastic mario game- it's just a little on the easy side.

They cant make it a VC, because it hasent been out before. I think you meant wii ware

Again, it wouldn't be on Virtual Console unless if it had already come out. Orignal games = WiiWare... they didn't release Mega Man 9 on Virtual Console, remember?

500 levels, 200 secrets, 15 power-ups, 8 Bowser kids, Pow Blocks, and all the Mario Goodness. It better be one hell of a game, or don't release it at all.

I wouldn't mind a WiiWare old school Super Mario game. But, I'd prefer 16 bit (like Super Mario World or New Super Mario Bros. (what bit is this game? (I feel like I'm coding now with all these parens))). I think it'd be super-fantastic awesome to have a Super Mario game with a game editor. Make it so it's easy to publish levels and get levels from other users and I'd pay full price ($50) for it.

I think it's a good idea. A true 2D Mario game would be nice. Super Mario Bros 3 was a great game, with lots of diversity and great gameplay. A new sequel to Super Mario World would be even better though, especially when it's based on SMW2: Yoshi's Island, which is the best 2D platformer ever in my opinion. The pastel colors and cartoony graphics would look great on the Wii.

A new 2D Mario game on Wii Ware would be awesome. 2D Mario is awesome. It could be awesome it would be a game I would download straight away.

Dude, I agree with you 150%. New super Mario Bros. was a good game, but it left something to be desired. The Koopa Kids need to come back. Also, NSMB seemed just too simple. I say it is more like an enhanced mario 1. They need to make one that is more inline with Mario 3 or Mario World. And yes, I would welcome 8 or 16 bit.

Super Mario World is SMB4. In fact, in the Japanese Version the cartridge and box even said "Super Mario World: Super Mario Bros. 4".

they should make a new Mario 2d scroller and make it look real, not like cartoony. imagine a realistic Mario and Luigi...and even Princess Peach.

We have Super Mario 4, it is Super Mario World.

What I REALLY want to know is what happened to Super Mario 5 through 63? I mean, they jumped straight from 4 to 64, so what gives? lol :P
