The Wii U's pretty good lineup for the rest of 2013

So we've had a rather dry lineup over these last few months when you consider that an open world Lego game and a remake of a 3 year old game are considered to be two of the biggest titles over a period of this year and we're nearly exiting July.

I'm looking at the lineup for the remainder of the year, and although these titles won't push wii u sales that Nitnendo strongly needs, I don't deny the lineup for the rest of the year is rather decent, if not at least worth pointing out. 

When you average about 2 games per month for the rest of the year, there's at least enough attention to say the Wii U is certainly looking stronger the 2nd half of the year.

i think wiifit is going to sell more consoles than all of those games....

if ninty just released those games wiiU would sell very well but below expectations.

i think the addition of party and excercise games like wii partyU and wiiFit U will make the wiiU sell more like the wii.

is zelda really coming out this year?

Isn't Deus Ex supposed to be coming out sometime before the end of 2013?

I forgot about the new Batman Origins. As long as it, Splinter Cell, COD:Ghost, and Deus Ex all use the tablet, look decent, and run well, then I will get the WiiU versions. 

So that is potentially 4 third party titles I plan on getting on the WiiU.

For me, I'm getting Pikmin 3, A WEEK FROM SUNDAY WOOO!!! Then Wonderful 101, Windwaker HD, Batman Arkham Origins, Watch Dogs maybe AC4...I hate AC but like Pirates lol. Sonic Lost World I'll get at some point, but not launch. DKC:TF screw that. Retro's dead to me. Super Mario 3D World...add online for Co-op and we'll talk. Then for the 3DS Pokemon X, Zelda A Link Between Worlds and Mario Party 3DS!

The games planned to buy by the end of this year:

- Pikmin 3 - Wonderful 101 - Rayman Legends - Sonic lost Worlds - Zelda Wind Waker (will trade in my gamecube copy to get it!) - Batman Origins - Donkey Kong Tropical Freeze - Watchdogs - Super Mario 3D World

Just also bought a 3DS XL for my son (Xmas gift, yes very much in advace, but was able to get it new, in Canada, for 150$, taxes included, at a drug store sale!!!)

Also bought some games on 3DS: Luigi's mansion 2 - Super Mario 3D Land - Steeldriver (for 1$, why not) - Kid Icarus - Mario Kart 7 - Bust a move - Street Fighter IV.

There's plenty more I'd like to buy for that system too, so I'll have to budget this year (9 games for Wii U and about 15 for 3DS).

My for sures at launch are : Pikmin 3, Wonderful 101, Zelda Windwaker, Donkey Kong TF, Super Mario 3D world and Zelda a Link between worlds for 3DS. Watchdogs by end of year and the rest when I can. No way I'm buying another skylander's game (or Disney Infinity). Just too much for one game and I can't help myself collecting all these FN figurines, arrrrggghhhh!!!!!!!!!!

only buying Pikmin 3 (already bought) & DK: Tropical Freeze from Nintendo, not touching their lazy effort games, the rest will be from 3rd parties - Rayman, Splinter Cell, Watch Dogs, Sonic LW, & Deus Ex: DC ..W101 *maybe* :P

It took 9 months but we finally get a constant flow of good games for the coming months. Hopefully this was a learning experience for Nintendo.

I would have bought all those games for Wii U, except now i will be buying a lot of them for my PS4 instead. I probably will never buy any 3rd party, multi-plat, games for my Wii U from this point on with the soul exception of Rayman Legends.

Getting Pikmin 3, Wonderful 101, Mario, and Donkey Kong. No Zelda for me though. Ain't paying 50-60 bucks for a HD port. Although I do feel kinda dumb for getting rid of my Gamecube version a couple of years ago.

So I am guessing I will have to find a second job before October comes around. :P

Oh, this may not be on many people's radars, but Scribblenauts Unmasked: A DC Comics Adventure is being released on Wii U this year too. September 24 for North America. I haven't played a Scribblenauts since the original, which was an entertaining game. Edit- Deus Ex Human Revolution: Director's Cut should be releasing on Wii U sometime this year too.

I've played Wii Fit extensively and I can tell you that infact, it is a video game. A fun one at that.

For me I'm personally getting:

Its actually entirely possible Wii U outsells PS4/X1 in November. New consoles are usually in short supply. Heck, the 360/PS3 sold like 300k-500k in their launch months and the Wii U sold like 420k last November. PS4/X1 will be in short supply and will likely sell about 600k max each. The Wii U however won't have supply issues and with the right marketing and a proper black friday sale (hopefully a $50 price cut) they can easily move 500k-1 million Wii Us in November alone. Heck, like 525k PS3s were sold at $269-$299 during 11/18-11/24 last year alone. Wii U could easily outsell X1/PS4 in Nov

that would be quite an accomplishment for nintendo. the internet forums would explode :P
