I was fiddling around in the Wii's Date & Time menu when i decided to see how far the years go. It turns out it goes to 2035 then back to 2000...

So any idea what happens to the Wii in 2035 New Year's Night? Will it explode Y2K style or ... i don't know you think about.

In system clocks the lowest year is normally 1 year beofre it was made, the Wii internal clock was programmed in 2001? Thay have kept it under wraps.

Why don't you set your clock close to the maximum it'll allow and see what happens?

probably because it will be a paper weight by 2035 or possibly a stylist door stop.
